I know nothing about tech and was hoping for help installing a mod

Hi guys,

The mod I want to install is this:

https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/25074

To be honest I can't figure it out. I am very bad with computers and don't understand mod installation. This mod requires several other mods and it just seems like gibberish to me. I really love Fallout 4's Curie so I really want the mod.

If anybody has a few minutes to tell me step by step how to beautify the French doctor, it would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance for your help.

For what you're after you'll need a few things.

1. A mod manager. This will keep track of your mods, there updates, and warn of conflicts. If you want Nexus Mod Manager github has the latest version. It's been around quite a while and works. Vortex is what the nexus uses now, but the website will work with either.

2. Write up a list of your mods, what they need and version. This will help if you ever need to bring them back in later, or if you need more help later on.

3. When adding in your mods you can manually download them and load them in and activate them, or let the manager grab them and then you activate them. Pro tip: Make sure the mods that mod needs are downloaded and installed in order. They are to be activated before you activate the mod you want and no I'm not explaining how to save some mod slots this run. I still have work to do on that front myself. Do note esp and esm's count on that limit. That limit is 255, some say 254 so do watch that. Esl files do not count on that limit.

4. Be aware of load order, more than what I've put here. Bethesda.net has a good guide for that which can help. You can export that order to a text file and reimport the adjusted text file, this will help with large mod lists, which you will get to.

5. Do get the Fallout 4 Unofficial patch, it's an absolute must along with F4SE, these will get you a lot of improvements and later easy of use options.

These are not all the tips to give, but they should help.

Heyas. There's a lot of good advice there, Bbiller, but it's a problematic and difficult presets mod that Derimed is having trouble with. Due to the fact that the author is using a lot of required mods, mods that are no longer available, as they were when the mod was released, and the fact that the author has so many variations of the mod listed in the files section.

To be honest, just looking at the mod page makes my brain hurt, especially after looking at the Files tab.

Derimed- I normally don't say this. So please, do not take it personally. I've looked at some of the old mods like that, and thought about using them. Up to and until I got to the list of the requirements to make the mod work. Once you start to get into modding your game, and you start to realize how important load order is, and the limitation of how many mods you can install in the game is, you won't want mods like that.

That, and to be completely honest, that one just asks for too much. Plus, there are tons of other curie mods that are so much easier and less bloated, to use.
