Looking for a guide on how to make a bullet time mod (For beginners)

So.. Basically i'm looking for a guide that helps me learn how to make a mod and use that information to make my own bullet time mod, since i can't find one in the Nexus that does what i want. I know that maybe this isn't the right place to ask this but i honestly don't know where else to do it.

A million thanks in advance.

PD: I'm so sorry for my crappy english. It's not my first language and it's kinda rusty.

I've never seen one that touches on that subject (bullet time or VATS). Suggest your best chance would be to examine one or more of the mods you are not happy with, and see if you can figure out why they took that approach instead of what you would have preferred. Then you can ask in the "GECK and Modders" section about alternative approaches to specific issues.

For general guidance with links to many specific tutorials, please see the wiki "Getting started creating mods using GECK" article.

(And don't worry. Your English is just fine.)

I wonder how they did bullet time before the advent of Lutana ?

Which gives the guts of it ...

SetGlobalTimeMultiplier

GetGlobalTimeMultiplier

Maybe was an outside the geck modding that was the precursor to those functions in Lutana ... ?

which now is part of the latest JIP.

@ dubious ... Hence why I was asking on the other thread what is available on the nexus.

@ Scksief ... Even if you want to end up making your own mod for publish. I would start with picking one of the many bullet times that is the closest. And just start adjusting that ... for self use only.

But to the end result of getting you familiar , then testing what you want your end result to be.

Plus that will give others a starting point for what you want to change , when your asking about it here in the forums. Cuz there's nothing wrong with data mining to understand it ... just can't copy / paste someone elses work for publish.

Oh by the way as I see it. There is another way besides adjusting the "GlobalTimeMultiplier"

To do something resembling bullet time. And that would be running a script to get distance / line of sight on actors ... then slowing them down. A bit more tricky script wise , and also would not slow down bullets or effects, and easy to keep the player normal speed. Might look funny too. But that is the only other way I can see vs adjusting global time. Which going that route ... looks like you need to speed up the player ... at least on some movements.
