The first and foremost is that I really, really can't stand Snowy Gramps. However, directly after that is this: There really is not physiological difference between male and female Dunmer except for some facial hair. They all look almost exactly the same. There's even some intergender dressing happening in Ald'ruhn. So the question becomes this: What makes a Dunmer of the opposite sex attractive to another Dunmer?Obviously, it must have something to do with personality, because - as I said- there really are no physiological differences.
