Borz06
Hello fremds and female fremds.I just noticed that I posted my thread in the wrong place and I'm too dumb to delete it. Sorry for that. So I have a little problem... I downloaded Skyrim SE yesterday from Steam. And installed all the mods I need. I read that I apparently need an application called SKSE64.So I watched some YouTube Tutorials how to Install it. ( I'm using Vortex )So far so good. When I tried to open the SKSE Launcher, it said that my Skyrim is " too new " for my SKSE.When I start Skyrim with Vortex. It shows an error ingame that I have SKSE 0.00.00.0 etc. PP.I googled if someone would've the same problem as me but couldn't find anything.I also noticed that my MCM don't work Ingame. I don't know if it's due to the fact that SKSE is not running. Does anyone have the same issues ? Have a good day Edited November 21, 2019 by Borz06
christhetwin83
well that's bad timingThere was a recent update for Skyrim and Fallout 4 and everytimeBethesda does an update, the .exe startfiles get patched and the scrip extender won't work.So you now have to wait for an SKSE update to download from their website. And for the next time download an auto backup script to make a rollback.Setting steam updates for those games to Update-on-Start also can't hurt. Thank you guys for your response. Bad luck. But what's with the MCM Mod Manager ingame ?It doesn't show any mods. Is it because of SKSE ? I already tried " setstage ski_configmanagerinstance 1 " but it didn't worked
simondent2
My Old Skyrim LE is working ok. Guessing, it is for SE that was updated. Fallout 4 is not though. I will have to wait for the F4SE update.

Try typing "getskseversion" in the game's console to ensure SKSE is properly running. Of course, due to your issue and whilst you're stuck waiting for a new update (I haven't checked if it has come out yet or not), it's not doubtable for the Mod Manager to not run properly due to SKSE missing. If the command comes back with an SKSE version response, SKSE is running. Ask me if you have any other questions. EDIT: Fixed typo.
