cumbrianlad
Hi. I put a new riften sewer door into the Ragged Flagon to enter a network of tunnels that lead to a new player home. While I didn't alter any navmesh nodes or triangles, either by moving them or deleting any, I did find cover edges and finalized the Ragged Flagon navmesh. Checking in SSEedit, the door triangles now flag up in yellow, because my new door triangle (triangle 382) has displaced the records for other doors out of the Flagon. (see bottom screenshot*) Now I could remove the mesh and not finalize it with my door in place but I'd think that would mean followers couldn't enter the caverns, which I don't want. How much of an issue is this? I certainly don't want the thieves' guild quests being screwed up by actors not knowing which doors to use! I've manually edited the records to be as in the 02 (top) screenshot. Is this fine? Edit: I guess it's not fine! I tried to close SSEedit after that tweak and it threw up errors and didn't save the edits! Help needed, please. Edit 2: Ignore that last edit: I had The mod open in CK when I quit SSEedit. Doh! I've since used SSEedit to look like the top screenshot and saved OK. * That sounds a bit rude, but I left it in for comedy value. Screenshots of any of my private areas will never be posted on the Nexus, rest assured!
Gr8Zomb
If you used the auto generate nav mesh option (cause usually when you edit a lay out it will need a touch up on the nav mesh) and it looked fine you're okay on that part, sssedit is gonna say that cause you changed things. In some it's an entirely new record and others are modified. As far as potential follower issues I was having an issue on that concern and after I added an inside door marker too the door on the outside of my dungeon and an outside door marker on the inside of the door all followers magically started working. cumbrianlad
Thanks for the response. I didn't generate navmesh at all. The original vanilla Ragged Flagon navmesh was left untouched. All I did was add a 'sewer' type door to the floor and finalized the navmesh to give my new door a green triangle. interesting comment about the door markers, though.
