Purr4me
@Op click on start - control panel - user account - Change user account control settings - drag it to the very bottom (Never Notify) restart the computer after doing that, then see if steam launches Note: the above disables user account control, lol, thus eliminating the only issue having your games installed on the same drive as windows. as such you can safely ignore that overly exaggerated reply with regards to having your games installed in said address xD Note: having your games installed to that specific address is only a problem if you are on windows 10, if you have windows 7 or older, you are completely fine having your games installed their, i know because i have always installed my games to that location for a good 7+ years and not once did i have an issue, primarily because i refuse to downgrade to winblows 10, and i always disable User Account control, it is a poor security measure, as long as you are smart and very computer ilterate, you will never issues having it disabled. so yea, if the above does not solve the issue, then you may need to take ownership of that location, however this comes with risks. The user is in receipt of pirated software so let's just leave this alone. Some person posted here on the nexus older versions of 3 files for I tracked down to this issue. IT's no longer relevant.
