I was curious to know how many people played the previous Fallout installments and which ones. Most specifically FO and FO2 but I included Tactics and BoS simply for the sake of thoroughness. I also included an Oblivion entry and a Fallout 3 entry to factor in those people who came from Oblivion and those who started with Fallout 3.

I did a bit of looking and I didn't see a previous thread of this nature. I'm fairly interested to know how the community breaks down.

I've played the original Fallout games. No spin offs for me. I also played Oblivion, and Morrowind for that matter. Currently playing through Fallout 3.

I absolutely loved the original Fallout, but didn't like Fallout 2 as much. I couldn't even tell you why, really. Just didn't feel right to me. Something felt off. Still not a bad game, but I never finished it because of that.

Played F1 and F2, enjoyed them both but the first one will always have a special place in my heart. F2 had lots more to do but a bit of the charm seemed omitted in my opinion. It certainly has it's moments but it just didn't hold my attention or secure my undying affection the way the first did. Never played tactics though I have heard some good things about it, and some bad.

The console game, Brotherhood of Steel, was one of those "buy it for the name" purchases for me. It wasn't very good in my opinion. It certainly is the least Fallout-ish of the series if anyone actually considers it a part of the universe. I could have forgiven much of it's lack of Fallout goodness if the gameplay itself was actually engaging. A straight up action, hack and slash type game set in the Fallout universe sounds like it could be fun but the execution was extremely lackluster. The game was just plain boring and if all you have going for you is combat then it better be fun and addictive, sadly in BoS it wasn't.
