Mizati13
Okay, so here's the thing. I roll play everything in Skyrim, It's my way to kinda escape life for a few hours a day, you know keep my sanity. Anyway, I enjoy playing mage-type characters, and being a girl, I always play female toons. Now, every time I hit Expert/Master robes I gag a little. They look horrid, and I actually like how the Novice/Apprentice/Adept robes look, and to be honest, the Expert/Master robes for males actually look good. Now I've been spending over a week looking for mage robe replacers, and all I keep finding are these slutty robes that have goddamn Navel lines, and goddess knows how the rest of it actually stays, or robes that just barely cover the nipples and crotch. Now I do use CBBEv3, and I'm just wanting to know if anyone can either retexture the female Expert/Master mage robes to look like the male one, only fitted for female use, or come up with a sutible, non-slutty replacer. So, can anyone manage to make something similar to this? I just don't want to have my character running around the frosty reaches of Skyrim in almost nothing... Plus, staring at near-nudity all day gets boring, even when you're lesbian.
StayFrosty05
There's 'Elaborate Textiles - NPC Clothing Retexure', I haven't played Mages so am unsure if expert/master is the Arch Mage Robes or not but do hope this may be of some help....: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/19826 For something beautiful and unique....if you can maybe enchant this with the expert/master Mage outfit enchantments....'DreamBurrows Regal Assassin Armor'....it also comes in cloth for Mages...: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/24342 Edited October 28, 2012 by StayFrosty05
nakakita
There are mods that change every female mage robe to the nocturnal robe, but that is an equally bad solution. I was looking for something similar yesterday, (but I was just looking for any type of clothing that wasn't a sluttification, a re-texture, or something that still had an armor rating) and found next to nothing. There is an option to replace the arch mage robe mesh with the Triss armor, but I personally got sick of that a while ago. I can only think of one clothing (not armor) mod that I've seen for females that actually looked warm though, (and wasn't just a re texture) and it's not on Nexus. @StayFrosty, I've never managed to make those enchantments have the same strength as they do on those robes with the enchanting skill. Even with the fortify restoration glitch, though I haven't exactly abused that to the point some people have. The master ones grant 150% regen and the conjuration version at least grants 25% reduction in conjuration. I think I've gotten something like 20% regen and 15% reduction with maxed enchant, and a potion, but I could be remembering that wrong. Either way, it would require the construction kit to give it that strong of an enchantment at the moment. Hmmm....sorry, I didn't know that....did mention I never play Mages.... ....someone may be willing to help Mizati with that though. @ Mizati, if you can find a Robe or Clothing that you do like, maybe a modder would be willing to apply the vanilla stats to it for you...the expert/master Mage Robe stats. Mizati13
I had actually messaged Caliente when I made this post, and she actually replied to it(holy s***! Totally wasn't expecting it honestly) And told me she's doing a bunch of new work with vanilla armors, and hopefully within the next few weeks it'll be out =3 And Nakakita, I like that Triss clothes look. I may try it out for a while there. Abd yeah, I honestly never bother with enchanting, simply because that for RP purposes, it's game-breaking. If you just wanna kill s***, 100% mana cost reduction is awesome, but it you wanna actually make it half realistic(I know, I know, how realistic can throwing fireballs at someone's face really be right?) you can't really go much above maybe 70% total. Taejang007
http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/3296 The author of that mod did exactly what you want with a variety of other armors. Not with mage robes, however. But I bet you could ask 747823, and get them included. Maybe even get the mod updated, which I for one would love. Let's face it, Skyrim is cold. Even if it wasn't, armor is meant to cover skin, not expose a combatant's heart. Granted, mage robes aren't 'armor,' per se, but I don't think of most mages as strippers or Hooter girls, either. They probably want to be taken seriously, and be able to walk around town without catcalls or the threat of some Nord oaf trying to rape them. Also, if Caliente releases some nice changes like what 747823 did, I'd appreciate a heads up. Edited October 29, 2012 by MXan
