Dragonbone weapons problem

When I bought Dawnguard and realized that it added dragonbone weapons to the game, I went into my skyrim folder and deleted the dragonbone weapons mod. However what I must have mistakenly done was delete the dragonbone weapons file that Dawnguard included instead. I noticed this first when none of the keepers in the soul cairn dropped any dragon weapons. I then tried to use console commands to add some of the weapons to my inventory but they wouldn't show up, and when I used the "placeatme" command I couldn't pick them up. I knew they were there to some extent though because I could see them on the ground and could use the command "equipitem" to equip them, but then if I switched weapons I wouldn't be able to re-equip the dragon weapon. So I uninstalled and reinstalled Skyrim in hopes that it would install back the missing dragonbone file, but the problem still occurred. I'm at a loss as to how to deal with this, someone please help!

The keepers never dropped dragonbone things for me, and I've been through the 'Cairn twice. Unless you deleted the Dawnguard.bsa, you couldn't have touched the Dawnguard dragonbone weapons. I'm pretty sure the ref IDs would have been different between the two weapon sets as well. I don't know why the console commands didn't work unless you typed the wrong ref IDs. I can only suggest two ways to see if they are really broken since the console hasn't worked for you. A- check the testing room. See if the dragonbone weapons are in the weapons and armor chest. B- Max out your smithing and see if they show up in the menu.

The keepers will drop dragonbone weapons only if your player character is of a sufficiently high level.

As nakakita states all the Dawnguard added items are contained within Dawnguard.bsa/Dawnguard.esm so as long as you have those you should have them all available. If you have the dragonbone smithing perk they will also be available in the crafting menu at the forge.

Easiest way to find the console codes is to type [help dragonbone] into the console and press Enter and use the Pageup/Pagedown keys to scroll through the results.

If you want to check the Testing Hall [coc qasmoke] be aware that the DLC content is in a new room in the Testing Hall.

Yeah I've typed help dragonbone before and a list of multiple dragonbone weapons popped up, that's how I tried to add them to my inventory in the beginning. It didn't work then and it still doesn't work, however I did what you and nakakita suggested and leveled up my smithing to 100 and gave myself the dragon smithing perk with console commands and made some of the weapons. They showed up in my inventory and worked just fine. When I dropped them on the ground and checked what their ID was with console commands by clicking on them, they were different than what the game was telling me when I tried to look them up with the help option. I guess there is a glitch or bug that is making broken versions of the weapons show up in the help option instead of the actual weapon IDs that work....interesting. Anyway thanks to the both of you for helping me solve this Dilemma! :)
