cumbrianlad
Hi. I'm mentioning this out of interest because it had me totally baffled for ages. I'd created two sets of levelled actors. When testing in game, only those that had been set in the render screen to medium, hard, very hard or 'None' actually loaded. Any set to easy difficulty didn't appear. The cell was navmeshed, had cover edges found and was finalized. I didn't COC into it but used load doors. The save hadn't seen the mod prior to testing. If I added all of the enc actors, I got a little army of 16 enemies, so the issue wasn't with any of the actors. I tried checking and un-checking the 'calculate from all levels<=PC' and 'calculate for eact item in count'. I checked that the cell had a location and my encounter zone. It all looked good, but nothing worked... still no easy actors! The solution surprised me. Because my encounter zone was set to minimum level 6, max level 0, I'd started my levelled characters at level 2. Adding another actor at level 1 resolved the problem, as did increasing the minimum level of the encounter zone to 7. I'd read about 'easy' actors being 33% or less than the resolved level for the cell, but I'd assumed it was 1/3, making my level 2 actors okay. Obviously it's exactly 33%, or 1.98 in my case. What surprised me (and threw me off the scent), was that my test character was level 50, so the resolved level should have been 50. Easy actors could have been selected from my level 2, 6 or 12 actors. All the other actors were picked correctly. Clearly since the game couldn't select an actor for a player of level 6, it didn't bother to calculate it for level 50! I'm just writing this so that nobody else makes the same error.
