Bottletopman
Well...what a REAL Pip Boy needs is... ...a BOMBPROOF CASING! And a geiger counter. And at least 500 GB of on board storage, considering people would put a crapload of music and videos, and wireless, not to mention a 3.5 mm jack for earphones, and wireless for easy transfer of files :) Oh, not to mention the mysterious capability of pausing time while you're browsing through it :D. 7thsealord
Let's not forget the power plant. Those batteries must be pretty dern good - never need replacement or recharge. Maybe it has a miniature nuclear reactor, or runs off the wearer's blood. To say nothing of being (as far as I can tell) completely immune to Viruses and Malware. Consider. Your Pipboy hooks up pretty much automatically with anything that will communicate with it. It unhesitatingly loads data from radio broadcasts, terminals, discs and tapes all over the place - without so much as a Yes/No option for the user. That Pipboys (or other FO3 computers) could load a program that seriously disagrees with them seems inconceivable. devilpengui
I would see it similar to the pipboy PDA, which is pretty similar to smart phones. The only I'd like thought is to have it much more sturdy, drop your iphone once correctly, it's broken.
evilneko
Maybe Vault-Tec's OS is so completely foreign to RobCo's that nothing coming from a terminal could possibly harm it. Quote drop your iphone once correctly, it's broken. Well, that's more Apple's planfault than anything. Also another good reason not to get one.
