vash1985 Posted November 14, 2008 Author Share Posted November 14, 2008 alot of the credit goes to Millenia for really bringing life to the model. he truly is one of the masters of the art. at first i had took his flats down to half resolution to fit them all into one 1024 (there were 3 maps) because it didnt like me wanting it to use multiple textures :verymad:, ive sense put them all on a single 2048 to eliminate the loss of quality, and added the normal maps as well. it will end up being a use at your discresion, prolly with both the low res and high res available with the release. ive toted around a bit with it at the high resolution and i havent seen a noticeable difference in my FPS (i didnt actually look at it though, so it might be there) http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff58/vashts1985/ScreenShot25.jpghttp://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff58/vashts1985/ScreenShot26.jpg i am going to tool around with the position and scale a bit to try and get the trigger finger in a better looking position (seeing it clipping through the trigger guard is making me rage :wallbash: ). other than that i need to make alot of stat changes...damage, ammo type, sound (the 10mm "plink" just aint doing it for me) and magazine capacity. after thats smoothed out it will be ready for a release :biggrin: just because it would not be a fallout game without a Desert eagle Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

vash1985 Posted November 14, 2008 Author Share Posted November 14, 2008 id rather use 3 1024 texes instead of one 2048 since the 3 smaller ones are still smaller than one big one which is 5 times the size of one 1024...as ammo id just use .44 or .308 till we can add our own types exactly! but i think whats going on is that its only looking for one texture, because the 10mm was on one texture. so untill i can get that mess sorted, the above is how it will stay for the beta :confused: im going to set it to .44, sorta a analog to the scoped magnum. my current plan is to have "regular" desert eagles, and a named "Desert Dragon" (the skin shown) both with balanced stats compared to their scoped magnum counterpart. i dont want it to be a god weapon or anything, but in essence a weapon that should have come with the game in the first place Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
