inIimbo Posted December 1, 2019 Share Posted December 1, 2019 (edited) the idea is to prevent you from opening the menu mid combat and spamming aid items, making things a bit tougher, but still allowing you to open the menu and use something so your not completly dependant on hotkeys for everthng. a cooldown of like 2-5 seconds would be good edit: actually a universal cooldown on items in general for using/droping orequiping/unequiping items would be prefered so theirs no loop hole to bypass the cooldown with hotkeys Edited December 1, 2019 by inIimbo Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

But I think adding that functionality is gona be tuff , vs just roleplaying not using it with some restraint. Would give you near the same render.I can't see an easy way to shut off the usablility of a particular aid item. Like if it had a "Playable" flag to uncheck recheck through a script timer.But can set the trigger mechanism with this https://geckwiki.com/index.php/SetOnUseAidItemEventHandler It very well may be possible without copious amounts of remaking the whole of that part of the game.
