console command to remove stuff

How do I remove stuff, like for instance an object in my house that I consider trash?

 

I tried the console command "zap" which only seems to make an object invisible (I tried on the stuffed dog in my apartment).

If I walk towards it it still blocks my path, so it's invisible.

I also tried another command called RemoveItem which doesn't seem to work.

 

Anyone good at this?

 

EDIT: I tried removing other stuff with the zap command and it worked without them just becoming invisible. But the items I want to remove the most is the dog house and the dog :wallbash:

Click the item and type disable.

I've tried that but nothing happens.

The console doesn't even generate output when I use that command.

Sometimes you need to be careful... occasionally you may think you have the right item selected. But you may be deleting a 'beam of light', which is as good as transparent, acting like a wall infront of the item (hence why you accidently may have selected that instead).

 

But if you're 100% sure the correct item is selected (ie. you can see it's RefID at the top of the screen with the console open) and if it still doesn't work, then I'm clueless. I've used the command once or twice so it should work.

I've deleted a couple floating rocks via disable, so it should work. Make absolutely sure you've got it clicked.

I've noticed "disable" doesn't work on certain things, such as Wadsworth (and yes, the name "Wadsworth" appears at the top of the screen when I click him). He's been hovering in the middle of my tiny bedroom for a very long time, and I can't get him out. Have to tcl through him to get in to use the bed or filing cabinet, and he won't be pushed. Tried "kill" and "resurrect", but he respawns in the same spot.

 

So, the point is that disable doesn't work on everything.

If you just want to move him, do this:

Stand in the middle of your house (or wherever you want to move him to) and type this:

prid 8f6ae
moveto player

Now exit the console and he'll be right next to you.

(clicking on him instead of typing the prid line also works)
