Gam0rdude
please sign this: it could save my sister's life!https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/petition/finalize-standards-gluten-free-labeling/SsmdZh3C If you dont know what celiac's please google it.If my sister so much as eats a single molecule of gluten: a chemical found in almost any food product on the market, she has a very bad reaction to it.She has to eat gluten free food in order to live, pretty much. 60% of her digestive tract is messed up. The problem with gluten free food is that it has gluten in it.. Companies get away with this crap! Just last week my sister ordered gluten free soup that had white pasta in it, took three bites before realizing it had gluten in it and she got sick for like 3 days. And by sick i mean she was in unimaginable stomach pain, for 3 days. This petition could make it so gluten free food is actually gluten free.(or at least one part per billion) I'm not trying to attention prostitute here, I just want this petition to go through loud and clear. CommanderCrazy
I signed your petition, however (and i mean no offense at all by this), you have applied a very generous amount of hyperbole into your argument. As the brother of a person with Coeliac disease, I am well aware of the cause and symptoms of the disease, as such I have a couple minor issues. For one: It takes a fair bit more than a single molecule of gluten to cause a reaction, and two: a Coeliac reaction from that little pasta would not be so severe that it would cause intense pain for that long. Cramping and minor abdominal pain would be present after that much time, but in general that is it. Final note: I'm not denying you or what you're saying here, but there's a point where you can go a little over the top. Regardless, I still signed the petition as what you say in terms of some gluten free foods is true. Extra impression on the "some" there, as at least where I'm from, if the packaging says gluten free, and there is still gluten present, it is generally a manufacture error, and if you write to the company it gets sorted out. Carah
I'm all for it because I've recently found out that I have a wheat intolerance and it's very frustrating that a lot of foods are not regulated by the FDA (Food And Drug Administration in the US). If I eat anything with wheat in it I have bad tummy troubles for a couple of days, but it would be nothing to what your sister has to go through. Celiac Disease is very serious and painful.Petition signed.http://forums.nexusmods.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/dance.gifSignature 18,
