DarkZX
Whenever I try to start Fallout New Vegas, it gives me this error and I have to Cntrl Alt Delete close the game. I downloaded FNV Edit and loaded everything on it, but have no idea how to use it and it isn't telling me errors. I tried to manually go to my load order in the Data Files part of the NV Launcher, but whenever I double click a mod it just crashes. Can someone help? dubiousintent
Please see the wiki "Missing Masters" article. Load all of your "load order" into FNVEdit. If you are missing a master it will tell you immediately. Just scroll through the "Messages" tab to see which "master files" it says are missing, make notes, and then exit and add them to the "load order". Don't attempt to "do anything" with any particular mod in FNVEdit if you don't know what you are doing. Note you can also get that same message if you have all the files but they are loading in the wrong sequence in your "load order". We REALLY need to see a "load order" as produced by "LOOT"; to include the main game and DLC files. (Screenshots don't work so well for the purpose.) With modded games its the sequence, not merely the list of mods, which is the cause of many problems. LOOT's sort gives a good first approximation, correcting the most obvious issues and is sufficient for most players. You can make minor adjustments to the order and tell LOOT how to remember them. It's in the on-line documentation under "Metadata". Instructions on how to copy it's list for posting are in the "How to ask for help" article, and "Checklist Item #11' entry in the wiki "Fallout NV Mod Conflict Troubleshooting" guide.I recommend anyone read the entire "FNV General Mod Use Advice" article to understand the differences between this game and others you may have experience with; especially if this is your first attempt to play a modded FNV or it's been more than a year since you last did so. It is designed for someone who has never played a modded PC game before, so it tries to avoid making any assumptions. -Dubious-

JimboUK
The easiest way to find out what master is missing is to load up FNVEdit, if there is a missing master it will throw an error giving you the name of the missing master.
