vogelap069
I upgraded on my Win10 PC to Synthesis and reloaded my compatible mods. Now, whenever I am on-foot in game, my FOV is really weird. I tried resetting it in Options, but it still looks way too zoomed in. Any ideas, anyone?

Hi vogel, first you need to reset your fov without any mods running to make sure it isn't a mod, compatible or not. If it's fine without a mod running then you know it's a mod, then it's try each mod until you find the culprit. If it still looks zoomed without any mods then Synthesis is the most likely culprit, every one of NMS updates have had issues.
Spiritz666
Ive noticed this as well - camera seems really close on foot and i had only 1 mod running and that shouldnt affect FOV

vogelap069
This morning, there was a Steam update to NMS for me, so I installed that. I launched with mods Enabled, and the FOV issue persisted. I put disabled my mods and relaunched, and the problem wasn't evident. So it appears that a mod is causing the issue. When I've got time, I'll go through my mods one-by-one to see which is the culprit. Thank you for the guidance -- it's got me on the right path! vogelap069
Found a few files that were causing the issue. I list them here in hopes it will help others... _Quick Scan by Exosolar_TorchMod_1.00Better Build Menu 1.2Faster analysis (1 second)ZRatCraft - Reward Adjustment 2.14ZRatCraft - Scanner Reward with Ship Target Assist 2.14 Hopefully these will be fixed in later updates to the mods... Spiritz666
When you say a few files - im not sure together they would affect FOV . Would it be possible to single out which is the culprit.Infact can you list the mbins they use - im a bit lazy and i dont want to hunt the mods personally - tho i`ll take a stab that all except better build menu 1.2 are using the same mbin , could that be causing a conflict - unless they are merged . vogelap069
Thank you for your reply. I am a newbie to the NMS Mod Scene. All I know is that each of the mods I tested (one by one) caused the FOV to be messed up. When I removed them, the FOV returned to normal. I don't know how to merge stuff yet... Spiritz666
There are a few mods out there that do several things on your list in 1 mod - saves merging . I will refrain from promoting a mod by myself that falls under the latter but its easy to find ( also a few variants in the works )
