  1. There's nothing more frustrating than updating your mods only to find they release another friggin' update that messes with the mods. I also have mods running in this game that fix things as far back as Visions that's still broken in Interceptor, so don't hold your breath buddy when it comes to HG. And don't get me started on sending them bug reports, I love this game too but the only thing they add more of each update are BUGS BUGS and more BUGS! I've never known a game this old that's still so effing BUGGY! (Takes a deep breath)
  2. Visions are what the leaders of the World lack but in this case Mr. JJ it's a version of NMS I'm still hooked on like crack cocaine is with a lollipop. Hopefully that made absolutely no sense, which is why you'll then understand my obsession, because I don't understand either. I have since got an injunction against you Mr. JJ for stalking me on the Nexus forums. You have been served.
  3. Why am I not surprised this issue is still in Frontiers a year after I fixed this. Well no floating barrels in my version of Frontiers!!! :ermm: It's an old post but I was only fixing this again yesterday even though I'd already ported this mod over to Frontiers. But I landed on a planet and another floating barrel slipped through the net but again fixed. The strange thing was I landed on a flat surface but the floating barrel in question was located in a file allocating a slope, the mind boggles. I was looking over my old Visions posts and most of them I had to port over to Frontiers because they never fixed the issues despite reporting to Zendesk, which I no longer do. They've created silly bugs that I'm sure will still be around in 2025. Yes I still play my heavily modded and fixed Visions 1.77 but I will admit HG has done a good job on Frontiers, I'm actually playing it as well as modding it or fixing it. Right, I'm off to test my latest mod to see if it works or not. :ermm:
  4. Hi Gukbuk Even if it was doable I doubt anyone would attempt such a thing because as any modder knows with this game after each update you have to update the mod. And this happens over and over and over and over and then you have the ridiculous which is no modding tools. So long answer is probably NO!   I don't even play this game anymore and haven't for months, don't miss and doubt I'll play it again. :ermm:  And the reason I popped on here was because I was messaging a friend and thought I'd have a moan.
  5. Your best chance would be submitting a request to Hello Games. Good luck with that, you have a higher chance of finding out your father's a Vy'keen.
  6. Hi nicoalbb Sorry to hear your colour blindness affects the game in the way you described above, but I think your best bet would be to make a suggestion on Zendesk and hope Hello Games see and maybe come up with something. Best wishes, Myself  Just to add, I have since sent a request on your behalf and taken a screengrab so they can see what your asking for. Fingers crossed for you and other gamers who have colour blindness.
  7. Redmas has just posted his mod so obviously hasn't disappeared! https://www.nexusmods.com/nomanssky/mods/1742
  8. I've asked HG loads of times via Zendesk for modding tools and still can't understand when they stated you can mod the game and there's even a text file "#DISABLEMODS.txt" to enable/disable mods yet they provide no tools to mod the game. How would they expect anyone to mod the game monkeyman192 aside? Plonkers if you ask me! It's partly why I don't release anything I've modded or fixed as it just p*sses me off after each update trawling through the files, not including the fact you have to decompile them and rely on the LEGEND that is monkeyman192 for his decompiler. I know other mod makers who are getting cold feet regarding NMS modding and I don't blame them. Only last night I spent quite a while merging my favourite mods as mod makers are great but so many don't work together, I have some mods that have many mods merged. It's crazy! Here's a couple of examples: _fast_actions_2.6+small_cursor_2.3+shorter_arrival_message_1.3+tiny_inventory_changes_2.9.pak _mod_dud_ship_headlights_2612+jjs_jons_docking_fix_3.03+relight_1.7.pak And it's sad you can't share them because the mods are from various mod makers and it creates a headache, which is a shame.
  9. Is it me or am I the only person who hates those effing animated flowers on the landing pads? NPC's walking waste deep through them looks ridiculous and still doing it in Origins. I did offer to release this mod to a well known mod maker but he turned it down as he said it wouldn't be popular. Anyway removed on my version of Origins because it's popular with me. And ships logically facing outwards away from the middle structure. HG's please have some common sense!
  10. Why am I not surprised this issue is still in Origins a year after I fixed this. Well no floating barrels in my version of Origins!!! :ermm:
  11. Was bored so i trawled through Nexus Mods to see what else I could back port to Visions, and here it is. The terminals always annoyed me for snapping in the center of floor parts, thanks to Plopsi for the original Beyond mod. A few screenshots showing them where they should be, back against the walls. Also you can have them at 45 degrees as Plopsi had them in Beyond but forgot to take a screenshot. And yes it Visions because I've fixed and modded it so much and still enjoy playing it. Origins is still in Beta due to a sh*t load of bugs as always supplied by Hello Games. Credits to monkeyman192.
  12. You're welcome and hope you recover from your food poisoning soon enough buddy.
  13. This bug is still in Origins, what a surprise and just shows Zendesk is not Zenlike!
  14. That's a sad to hear that Redmas has left the building so to speak, but it's a lot of work having to redo his mods after each update and everything else that goes with it. I'll steer clear of that subject as it's for the best but I feel he's not the only one who will leave. HG's need to pull their thumb out and release proper modding tools. Why do we have a DISABLEMODS.TXT file with *If this file exists, no mod banks will be loaded.* yet we have no mod tools? :ermm: Anyway I'm not surprised he gone, respect!
  15. Hi SSGStryker I feel your frustration but doubt anyone will even attempt such a thing, you have to understand that modders have no proper tools to mod NMS and rely solely on monkeyman192 and his MBin tool. HG have said NMS is moddable but provide nothing in the way of doing such a thing. And I don't know if you've seen the files but at times it's literally a needle in a haystack and some files are crazy. For example: <Property name="TradersAttackPirates" value="True" /> change to False or True which is easy. Another file for example and a simple line: <Property name="AsteroidsEnabled" value="True" /> Again True or False. Another: </Property> <Property name="ExtremePlanetChance"> <Property name="Yellow" value="0.2" /> <<<< Again fairly simple just changing the values <Property name="Green" value="0.2" /> <Property name="Blue" value="0.6" /> <Property name="Red" value="0.25" /> </Property> Now some files could be just numbers like above to change height, size or colour which again is fairly easy, but what you're asking is a little too much. I shrunk the Royal exotic in Visions a while back because it was too big but even that had it's problems, while I changed the ship size it didn't resize the internal ships map hud. I had to find that file somewhere else and change it, thankfully a fellow modder JJHookah helped in pointing me in the right direction. My point being even the best modders wouldn't attempt it and JJHookah who changes space stations I doubt would do it especially with no tools and access to what HG has at their disposal. I won't bother posting a file that will show what modders are up against but hope you get the point, and apologies for posting probably unnecessary garbage. Oh and just to add that with each new update modders have the decompile the new update then trawl through the files they previously modded. And those that have huge mods become frustrated over time or give up, we've already lost Redmas for whatever reason and I know another who has lost interest and myself I'm a selfish modder who won't release anything. But I'm sure HG will implement such as thing as I personally think it's a no brainer, but then again HG's aren't exactly the normal gaming developers are they. I hope they do bring ship customization over as that would make our own ships unique and stand out from one another. Have you tried this website? https://www.nmseeds.club/Seeds/Search/ship Regards, Myself :ermm:
  16. RayRod made Dynamic Space for Beyond a while back which I fully ported to Visions, then I ported it to Beyond and now I'm porting it to Crossplay. Why? Because I can you plonker. :ermm: Here's some screenshots which I'll add as I play and as I remember too. This is the Intro starfield with more colours and many more stars. This is the speed lines made a little less annoying. And I tweaked those flippin' asteroids! This is the map screen, obviously. More colours and much more vibrant. This is something I'm messing with. And another UI image. I've done much more but haven't added screenshots yet. Most of it is game tweaks, UI tweaks, textures etc. Credits to RayRod and monkeyman192.
  17. Have you used mod conflict detector? If you use it and find the conflicting files and zip and send them I could merge them for you, another mod is probably modifying GCPLAYERGLOBALS.GLOBAL.MBIN or it's out of date. :ermm: https://www.nexusmods.com/nomanssky/mods/565 Regards, Myself
  18. Hi cfrensley With updates comes possible changes to mods so the best thing if you're having issues is first to disable all the mods and see if the issue persists. Plus it's a good idea to see if any of the mods you're using have been updated, but you may have to give modders a day or two maybe more depending on the modder. I've not decompiled the update yet as I usually wait for it to settle but if you've disabled the mods and the issue persists then you'll just have to get used to NMS and it's bugs which sadly is the "Norm" these days and years. One tip is I backup the game before an update so I can still play the previous games ie: Visions, Beyond, Mech 2.42 although offline but at least I can play them until the newer game is fixed. Glad I did because the game is unstable and has issues, no surprise. Regards, Myself
  19. Just to add in case anyone is wondering why I don't upload any of my mods and fixes for Beyond, Visions or Synthesis then here's why. Mainly because I can't be bothered to maintain them and you always get this one little turd who moans about something or other, and another is I'm just an old selfish git! who doesn't like sharing. Err I'm not actually that old! :ermm: I've actually sent some out when I get PM's as I have recently for someone who surprisingly is still playing Visions. There was me thinking I was the only person in the WHOLE UNIVERSE playing Visions. So I'm not that selfish, just a little. JJhookah has a lot to answer for as he made me think I was alone!
  20. This has been a problem for me since the beginning more or less to the point I sent it to Zendesk with screenshots. As with many more reports and screenshots sent to Zendesk I realised it's a waste of time. Anyway thought I'd share a couple of screenshots for the NMS historians amongst you from the year 3027 looking back at the many issues in this game. Here's the Gek structure with missing textures. Mod disabled! Here's the same location swapped with a Scientific structure. Mod enabled! And yes the Gek still inhabit the structure. I have this working on Visions, Beyond and Synthesis as I like to play them and edit them all. And why not, it's fun. Big thanks to JJhookah for laying down the crumbs so I could find the cookies. Top man! Credits to monkeyman192 who without his mbincompiler we wouldn't have any mods at all. A link to hosting site I thought I should leave in. Fairs fair as they say.free pic host
  21. Just thought I'd post another Visions mod successfully ported from Mech 2.42 which was originally uploaded by JJ. He's always ribbing me for still holding on to this old version of NMS, but I'm getting old too. Originally it was crashing Visions every time I used the "F" or "E" keys but had to be creative and found a workaround that works like a charm. Anyway for my own amusement and yours, some screenshots of ships on the pads nice and neat. Will add more for the NMS historians amongst you looking back at the relic that is Visions 1.77. And why did I backport this mod you ask? Because I like the challenge of it silly. :ermm: Regards, Myself  Big thanks to JJhookah for coming up with the original mod as it was pure genius how he fixed it.   Credits to monkeyman192 who without his mbincompiler we wouldn't have any mods at all. A link to hosting site I thought I should leave in. Fairs fair as they say.free pic host
