Vortex won't install required plug-in

I am trying to add Red Dead 2 to my Vortex game library to manage the mods but it says a plug-in must be installed and when I click okay I always get this message (I even uninstalled Vortex re-downloaded and reinstalled it but same thing, how to fix?).

Why is it referencing a Subnactica mod for failure to install a plugin for make Vortex support RD2?

Which version of Vortex are you using?

 

If you didn't already, please try clicking on Red Dead Redemption 2 in the extension list and then use the Install Button on the right (see image) to install the extension, does that make a difference?
