Robert's male body replacer problem with skintone

By not match do you mean, a major issue where the body is white and the head is from a non-caucasian race?

Or do you mean there is a slight seam between the head and body?

The first is well known issue with NPC added by mods and there are a few ini tweaks that can possibly help.

The second is a normal issue that happens with most body replacers to some extent. The game you see renders bodies and heads differently, so lighting will effect each differently..its annoying.

Neither. I am a Caucasian in the game. The body is pale and my face and hands are... normal I guess. and no matter how pale I make myself, I can't match the body colour.

Here is a screenshot to help everyone.

I'm convinced I can fix this too because I saw someone else who used robert's males and his skintone matched his head.

I remember I originally had this with Roberts but it's been awhile so I don't know if it's been updated since. What it was that there was a upperbodymale.dds, upperbodymale_n.dds, upperbodymale_sk.dds, headhuman.dds, headhuman_n.dds, but there was no headhuman_sk.dds. Since the body sk was just a dark (#130505) 128X128, I just copied the body sk and named it headhuman_sk.dds. There was no sk for the hands either. I would think the game would default to the sk that is in the original Fallout - Textures.bsa but I'm not sure. Edited by DizzasterJuice

Trying this right now.

EDIT: I don't see upperbodymale.dds, upperbodymale_n.dds, upperbodymale_sk.dds, headhuman.dds, headhuman_n.dds and I even redownloaded so I could see if there were other files.

I just downloaded it from http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/39880

and it's not the same as what I have on my game. The body texture has been changed and there's no n & sk for the head and no hand textures at all.

In textures/characters/male there is:

headhuman.dds

upperbodymale(HAIRY).dds

upperbodymale.dds

upperbodymale_n

upperbodymale_sk

mine looks like:

OH! My god I am so friggin stupid! I was looking at the meshes folder instead of textures folder! I'll get to work on installing that file that u posted.

EDIT: It didn't work. I even renamed headhuman_sk to headhuman and it still didn't work. I'll try redownloading with the link you posted.

EDIT 2: Actually, the link you posted is the mod I use.

OH! I see what the problem is, your using Geonox's race or "Hero" race correct? Well those textures are different then the ones provided in the Robert mod, FavoredSoul made new seamless head textures for his mod which removes that problem but your not using his textures so of course it will not be 100%.

What you need to do is either:

A. Set up the race to use the textures provided by FavoredSoul, including the new hand meshes and textures.

B. Copy the body textures into a new folder and load them in a program such as GIMP or Photoshop and darken them alittle yourself.
