Buggy AION Bows

Hello there,

 

I searched quite a while for new bows, especially for bigger, fancier ones, because being a pure archer with a simple monochromic stick with a thread is just boring.

Long story ... long: after a huge disappointment because there are almost no bow-mods and a little bit of frustration because there are even less fancy bows, I finally found a good looking one. It's part of a small package with 5 bows.

My problem is: It says in the readme.txt that the bows look strange in the menu but it's fine in the world-screen.

Well... it's not. The bow doesn't give a damn about lighting or other effects. It doesn't glow when it's enchanted, it looks always like it's lying in bright sunlight, even when it's night, and the most annoying thing: it doesn't become invisible when I do.

 

So... how can I fix it? If I can't do it, are there any other good, fancy bows around? Or am I damned to stick with the boring sticks?

I tested it a few moments ago with the other 4 bows of the package, and another bow suffers the same bug. The other three are fine. No bugs in the inventory, no bugs in the world screen.

(if someone goes through the pain of downloading it: the pink one and the shielded one are bugged).

If you want unique looking bows, you need to check out Nicoroshi's mods. You should also check out Adonnay's Elven Weaponry.

Thanks for the suggestion, but when I said "fancy" I had something like this in mind:

That's by the way the bugged bow I talked about. I fell in love with it right when I saw that screenshot, so it'd be awesome if somebody had an idea how to fix that bug D:

Ah, you mean fantasy, not fancy. I see. Sorry, I don't know of any like that. The nearest I can think of is a bow called the Pegasus Bow in OOO. I think the original is called something else, the name of which eludes me.

I think "fancy" is quite applicable, too :S

Anyway, I looked into the Pegasus Bow (Winged Bow in original), and.. nah. It's just not as cool as the AION Bow, so I'm still looking forward to somebody who can help me D:

I just made some screenshots, maybe it helps to understand my problem. There's no invisible-screenshot, because I had no chameleon-items with me :S

I can't help you with that AION bow, but I did come across this sci-fi bow. Apparently comes complete with downed space ship. :laugh:

I know the Sci-Fi-Bow as well, but I think that's a bit too misplaced :S

Plus: It doesn't look as awesome as the AION bow D:

There's a very good reason it's not available here - those Aion bows are illegal rips from the game itself. Do not link them here and I'd suggest not showing or discussing them either.

I've removed the download link from the first post as well, do not replace it.

 

To be honest I'd say forget about them and find something else to use. Something that's not a copyright violation.

I thought they were just rebuilt like the other weapons from other games so I didn't really think about it, sorry.
