Why modders don't take requests from game players

Hello from Greece.

As we say here in Greece, if you can't say something good about someone better don't talk. Most people we meet already are angry, believing that their actions and words will be of no consequence. I just want to say, thank you for the time and effort, everyone modder whose desire is, of course, to offer something attentive, so a mod, be used from now on, always with joy and excitement.

So from now on, I have decided not to give my opinion on something I like or just give some advice on how I would like, they improve or expand its content.

Now, my data folder is clean, because i install, olny the mods i really really really really like, and the number is 203. i stop update the game at version 1.10.114 because after that, the game always crash and never, never, i am not going to use F4SE programs and mods, need that. Also i stop play the game, with mods, add new enemies, because at some points at the map Commonwealth, the game is always crash and i am not going to said, who are those mods.

if a modder respects my time to deal with what he produced, then I'll just think, that there are still out there, good people who care about expanding the substance of the game. That's all. Thanks.

Hi Naioxi. Greetings from the US. We have a similar saying that goes "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all". And yes, there is a very large number of people who are exactly as you say. Here, we call them "The perpetually angry" or "The Always Angry".

I will say though, that compliments are almost always welcome. Especially if a piece of work took a lot of time to put together. Or it was a frustrating job, that didn't want to do what we wanted it to for a long time, or gave us a lot of problems. Or if it was a mod that was something that we really enjoyed doing, or are very proud that we managed to pull it off, and get it done and working, or just generally proud of. I mean, that applies to artists of ALL kiinds, and to a big degree, modders Are artists in a way.

If there's somebody that gets upset, that somebody gave them a compliment, it's THAT person's fault, they're the one with something wrong with them. Not the person giving the compliment.

But I do know of the kinds of people that you're talking about.

I do agree. With this game, and so many others, the people who take the time, and the effort to put forth the extras or changes that go into whichever game, are very greatly appreciated. Their time and efforts add to games, and make that portion of our lives, much more enjoyable.

So in that, I'm offering my heartfelt Thanks as well.

As far as offering advice on what a person would like added to a mod, or changed about it.... that really depends. It depends on how a person offers it, and the person that is receiving it. Some people, are just too touchy. And they take everything wrong. Some people just don't take the time to think through the way that they are wording how they're wanting to say. Or, are using a translator, and it doesn't come through very well. Or... downright badly.

Congratulations, I'm glad to hear that you've got a stable build going with your game. That's really good to hear.

Thanks for taking the time to share your feelings about these with us. :)

I for one really appreciate the mods the community makes. I wish I could make them as it would be nice to be able to fix my own problems or even just reskin something. Sometimes I feel like that I spend more time getting the game playable instead of playing the game. And thank goodness for the mod makers because they make the game so much better to play. Adding a lot of really neat things that seem missing from the original game. Things like workable showers & toilets, a fridge that makes drinks cold, systems to customize armor, bunches of additional assets to give more options, TVs that work, my list goes on. I look at everything I have and I don't think there is anyway I could strip it down to 10 or 20 if my life depended on it.

Honestly though, I haven't seen that many issues with my stuff, once I got it installed or figured out how a mod should be configured. Not real sure, but some times I think the game breaks just because I have spent so much time playing it and after a while things just come a bit corrupted.

I just am perpetually thankful for the mod creators because they are the reason I love The old style Bethesda games so much . My favorite gaming experience would not exist without them. Most of the ones I've dealt with have been kinder and more polite than I could probably manage with so much thrown at them.
