Heyas Shane!

Ok, so I haven't played this game on the xbox but I did used to play it on the PS4. So, since Sony prohibits external assets on their decks, I can't say what "some" of those mods have as far as impact, on a game deck.

Scrap that Settlement (STS) has a big impact on a console. Use it only when you're using it. Meaning, don't put it active until you are ready to start working on a settlement. Yes, that means you have to log out, activate the mod, log back in. Then when you're done, log out, deactivate the mod, and then log back in again.

However, I can tell you that at least on the ps4, my games ran a LOT more stable that way. Now, the PS4 was also still prone to the "settlement respawn bug". Which sometimes, got really problematic. I'm not sure if Xbone does that still or not.

The expanded mod may also be putting a hit on your box. I'm not sure, I didn't use it when I played on the sony.

on the sony, large and many settlements, was also an issue. again, not sure about on xbone.

Loving Cutie
Loving Cait
Loving Piper

these are companion looks change mods, They only have to be at the bottom if you're using mods that alter the other things about said npc. Such as their perks, stats, behavior, etc. They can go in companion changes, unless you are using one of the prior mentioned type of mods. In which case, they only need to be listed after said type of mod.

All of that said. I do just gotta tell ya this. Me and the other folks around here, will be glad to help you out as much as we can. But, this is primarily a PC based gaming community. Nexus doesn't even officially support console modding. Sooooo ummm.... my advice is...... just not to have high expectations of what we can and can't help out with, on the consoles. :(

Almost forgot. Another thing that can cause your gaming to be unstable, is uninstalling mods.

A lot of us like to try out new mods, don't like them, and just get rid of them. Or have to get rid of something to make way for something else, because of the load order limits.

Depending on the mod, removing them can be bad. If the mod uses scripts, those get baked into your savegame. In essence, what happens is that you can have scripts loaded up into your character, that are still running, even tho the mod that installed them, isn't there anymore. That can cause a lot of issues. Crashing, stalling, save game bloat that leads to save game corruption.

Sadly, on a console, the tools available for cleaning save games, are not available for use on a console.

so yeah.... with the Xbox and Playstation, pick and choose your mods wisely.

Or.... make new characters often. LOL

I'm actually being serious about that. Test mods on a character that you don't care about. That way, if ya don't like the mod, uninstall it, and delete the character.

Cheers for that mate.

I'll give it a go. The "Loving "companions" suggest they be loaded at the bottom, however, so do All the others, my confusion is what the hell do ya put last. ð. I'll be putting the consoles away soon and buying myself another gaming rig, so I'll be sweet then. But it'll have to wait till after Chrissy.

Thanks again. ð¤

Hey hey.

Yeah, there's some mods that say to put them at the bottom, even though they don't need to be.

Bottom of the list, takes highest priority, and over-rides anything of the same kind ahead of it on the list.

Basically what it comes down to, bottom of the list, is if the mod changes a LOT of different things. OR, you have several mods that could possibly conflict.

It's hard to say really, because of how wide a variety people can have of mods.

the three companion mods, would depend on what other companion mods you have in your game. Tho, for those three, it's not a big deal. Especially since I don't really see any mods that alter companion behavior or settings.

Ah, yes. The good ol' Christmas time. Ya know how the kids always have their lists ready? Tell them dad wants a gaming computer! HAHAHA. Naw, I'm just kidding. Yup, I know how it goes

No problem at all. Just sorry that I don't know more about the xbox.

Sweet mate, doin a bit of jiggling with the mods this morning. Got rid of extended settlement and BAM as every time I go to the weapons bench the game was locking up. Also around Cambridge the game goes tits up. No idea why as I haven't modded that area, use to play this on PS4 WITH HEAPS OF MODS and only crashed when I had the penthouse apartment installed in Cambridge, Xbox is a glitchy bastard of a thing. But I have patience so we'll see.

Shane- This game itself is just glitchy and buggy! It's almost like an old Harley Davidson motorcycle. You spend as much time fixing it, as ya do playing with it.

I personally haven't had any real issues with Cambridge. But I have read a lot of PC users have issues with it crashing around there. Especially once they get close to the Police Station to help out Danse. I Did have ONE run, where it crashed on me, en route to responding to the quest, but it hasn't happened again. I dunno, maybe a vanilla bug?

HAHAHA Yeah, I hit the 150 limit on my buddy's PS4 NUMEROUS times! You're lucky, or playing with better mods that I was. I'd cuss that PS4 constantly for bugging out! :D

But yeah, a lot of times, It's a matter of sorting Load Order, testing mods, and just sheer LUCK! LOL.

G'luck brother! ;)
