nsomestuph
As the title says. I'm mainly looking for mods that change up the difficulty, gameplay mechanics, good quest mods, and so on. Mods i don't really want are mods that make the game to easy and silly mods. Thank you :)
Hickory
Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul for a completely new, more difficult experience, including new items, NPCs, locations and quests. Very highly recommended. I tend not to install pure quest mods, but Bladesong is an excellent example.

bben46
I like Glenvar Castle, http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/8235 - you get a really well done and historically accurate castle - you can walk the walls, the gate opens and closes. A fabulous companion friendly player home with a fully custom voiced staff that all have their own schedules, New weapons, armor and clothing just for the mod, Secret passages and rooms. 2 major quests that are actually difficult and several mini quests (like finding the secret passages and rooms). New and different enemies with their own special weapons. There is no level requirement, but it is tough to complete the first quest just to get the castle at low level. - actually it's tough at any level so save a lot. Then other good quest mods that are not either silly or easy. - and often include many extrasLost Spires, http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/12997 - join the archeology guild and explore entirely new kinds of caves and ruins. Verona House:Bloodlines, http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/14601 A quest - and house fit for the Champion, you must complete the main quest line before starting this one. But you can install it at the beginning to get the really nice new village with a large population of interesting NPCs that comes with it. The Dungeons of Ivillon http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/13714 - New dungeon tiles making this one completely different from the normal dungeons in structure. A possible new companion, lanterns and torches that you have to light using a flame source (a torch or fireball works) Many new weapons (halberd, bearded ax, bastard sword - more) Again save often as this is not a safe place to explore. JCP768
The quest mod list lists the main quest mods out there and gives some indepth details on them. Particularly I'd recommend Integration, just read the description:Integration: The Stranded Light is an uniquely different quest mod. It deeply integrates your race, attributes/skills, and achievements in both Cyrodiil and The Shivering Isles into your options of completing its quests. The quests often have many solutions, usually tied into these aspects of your character. It includes more than 80 quests with a strong emphasis on thinking, character interaction, choices, consequences, and lore. A new, joinable guild plays an important role in many of the quests, which often focus on thinking rather than combat, social skills instead of fighting. It also reaches beyond the typical mold of quest mods, seeking to enrich the existing game world as whole by breathing new life into previously ignored aspects of the game, such as the "news" printed in the The Black Horse Courier. The quests don't all follow a single storyline. It's more like a collection of short stories than an epic novel. In addition to the new guild, you will also find interesting quest rewards inspired by the Less Annoying Magic Experience (LAME) mod, a new form of transportation, and enchanting/spellmaking capabilities for those not in the Mages Guild, a multistage in-depth optional romance, the first Shivering Isles guild, and so much more! Below is my usual copy/paste for these topics. it lists some useful links, some of my favorite mods, and asks some questions you can answer to get more recommendations customized to what you want. mhahn123
If you go in for realism, one of my favorites is Basic Primary Needs by Maskar. It adds in the need for characters to eat, sleep, and drink. Can be found here. There are also links on the page to other mods such as Basic Personal Hygiene which adds the need to wash yourself once in a while. Great additions for a more realistic roleplaying experience and very few conflicts. There are plenty of other mods in this genre but most are dated and don;t play well together....Maskars versions do most of the same things in two easy downloads. Another great addition is Enhanced Economy by TheNiceOne. This has many optional changes that you can choose such as customizing the vendor barter gold, haggling system, global economy, corpse looting, ownership of farm crops, prices of buyable homes (including some added by other mods) etc. All of which are geared toward making it more difficult to get rich quick.
