Having your own store

Well what I was thinking was that maybe you could change hold houses into your own stores, where you could give your good to your stewards or spouses or whatever and they could sell them for you over time.

or as an add on to the building or something.

Also if possible, it would be interesting if they could buy stuff as well, you give them a certain amount of gold, and check off item types that you want them to buy.

Just an idea.

As a roleplaying option though it'd be really awesome. There've been many times i've wished I could do this, or (l haven't tried it out yet myself, maybe it already works this way) invest in a store and have it make an actual *noted* difference in the persons circumstances & ambient dialogue etc, especially if the store took on a more upscale appearance, or simply began to show more business.

Skyrim has a lot of potential for this with how weak the basic economy is. Lol.

This is something I've been asking for since November last year, even before then when the game was in development. To be able to hire a shop keeper, or simply stand behind the counter all day and receive customers as they come through the door. Display goods for people to look at, set your own prices with a % of selling success based on item value. Order goods from a list and send out couriers to pick them up. Receive orders from other stores and deliver supplies to them. Having a general store would allow you to customize it to however you want, whether you want a magic shop or a blacksmith or anything in between it would be possible to set up. You could also start by buying a cart of your own which you drive around and set up small market stalls like the Khajiit, have your followers drive the cart for you while you sit in the back, or just ride the horse and let the cart drag behind. Open a stall in the town markets. Build up a shop and then a shopping mall, open a bunnings and take over the world.

So a skyrim version of Recettear "an Item shop's tail" (buy it on steam if you haven't heard of it).

You can attract adventures with certain loot. Raise your relationship with they gets them to buy more. Maybe have some quest for special items to sell. Maybe have missions for evil characters to sabotage the competition by stealing their goods or burning down their shops.
