I was thinking about getting fall out 3 but steam has 2 vr fallout and fallout game of the year so well the mods work on both and one other thing is the mods working in this game . I'm falling asleep playing skyrim .

Fallout 3 doesn't have any VR version, as far as I know

 

the versions you have online are the base version (no DLCs) and the GOTY version (with all 5 DLCs)

many mods do require the DLCs, and they are generally great content, so I recommend getting the GOTY version even without considering mods (and the price difference is rather small anyhow)

 

I also recommend that you get New Vegas if you don't have that, and maybe consider playing both using the Tale Of Two Wastelands mod (it might limit your mod options for both games, but it will make FO3 way better than vanilla, and it will give you plenty of content to go through)

A better place to get the game is Good Old Games (gog.com). Their version is ready to play as soon as it is downloaded. No need for the 4GB patch or the gfwl file.

First I would like to think the people who help me . Can some tell me if windows 10 is still having probloms with goty and after seeing what other people are going thow so ver 1 doesn't work with windows 7 or higher and ver 2 game of the year is having probloms with windows 10 goty so what now ?

I am running Windows 10 and have played New Vegas with TTW (so with FO3) with no issues

can't recall the last time I played FO3 not through TTW, but I would suppose that it would work even on W10
