Xebwar
Disclaimer: I am not referring to whether this idea is stealing someone else's, but rather it refers to the dilemma one should face in game. I got to thinking "How does the player know if taking something is stealing or not? Some items are labelled as stealing at one point, then not stealing later if the player befriends the NPC that owns it. Pretty much what I'm looking for is a way to change the red STEAL text prompt that appears on owned items and changing it to the white standard TAKE text, so that the player doesn't know if it's an owned item/container or not, but will still count as theft should it be taken. I wasn't able to find any mod already in existence that does this after a few hours of googling. I even tried scouring the CK myself for a solution, but to no avail. IsharaMeradin
If Less Intrusive HUD II for SSE does what it did for original Skyrim (Less Intrusive HUD II) then you have some options to tweak the text where it normally says steal in red letters. Might be worth checking out.
