Yepps
Hey, I'd like to preface this by saying that I don't really know what I'm doing with mods, I have a decent understanding of how to install them, but I haven't the foggiest idea how they work. With that said, recently I installed some new mods and tried to start a new game, and realized that I can't go outside, like at all. My game will load indoor places fine, like the alternate start prison, but the second I try to leave I get an infinite loading screen. I've tried to uninstall a few mods I thought could be the cause of the issue but it hasn't worked. ps - I don't have the best PC in the world so that might be the issue, but I'm using about 56 mods rn, and I've successfully ran up to like 75 so I don't think that's the problem. here's my load order from loot: 0 0 Skyrim.esm 1 1 Update.esm 2 2 Dawnguard.esm 3 3 HearthFires.esm 4 4 Dragonborn.esm 5 5 Unofficial Skyrim Legendary Edition Patch.esp 6 6 CreatureFramework.esm 7 7 JSwords.esm 8 8 hdtHighHeel.esm 9 9 Vigilant.esm 10 a HighResTexturePack01.esp 11 b HighResTexturePack02.esp 12 c HighResTexturePack03.esp 13 d musicpack.esp 14 e realistic lighting.esp 15 f spells cast light.esp 16 10 purewaters.esp 17 11 UIExtensions.esp 18 12 AddItemMenuLE.esp 19 13 AmazingFollowerTweaks.esp 20 14 FNIS.esp 21 15 RaceMenu.esp 22 16 RaceMenuMorphsUUNP.esp 23 17 RaceMenuPlugin.esp 24 18 SkyUI.esp 25 19 the dance of death - dawnguard edition.esp 26 1a Eyes of Aber.esp 27 1b 12FemaleBrows.esp 28 1c FreckleMania2.esp 29 1d KS Hairdo's.esp 30 1e EnhancedLightsandFX.esp 31 1f Dark_Forests_FULL.esp 32 20 ELFX - Exteriors.esp 33 21 3DNPC.esp 34 22 Skyrim Immersive Creatures.esp 35 23 sos - the wilds.esp 36 24 Sotteta Necromancer Outfit.esp 37 25 AKSkyrimUnderground.esp 38 26 Skyrim Immersive Creatures - DLC2.esp 39 27 sos - the dungeons.esp 40 28 ELFX - Weathers.esp 41 29 The Honored Dead.esp 42 2a Cloaks.esp 43 2b Clockwork.esp 44 2c FNISspells.esp 45 2d Marriable Serana.esp 46 2e ShadowSpellPackage.esp 47 2f Marriable Serana HF.esp 48 30 Combat Evolved.esp 49 31 dD - Enhanced Blood Main.esp 50 32 JSwordsDistributionBalancePlugin.esp 51 33 Morning Fogs.esp 52 34 Darkend.esp 53 35 Medusa and Drakul Armors.esp 54 36 Imaginator BETA.esp 55 37 JSwords_Load_Screens.esp 56 38 R.B Serana&Valerica Replacer.esp 57 39 RUSTIC SOULGEMS - Unsorted.esp 58 3a YOT - Your Own Thoughts.esp 59 3b SkyrimReputation_S2011.esp 60 3c Supreme Fog.esp 61 3d TKDodge.esp 62 3e TrueStorms.esp 63 3f Real Clouds.esp 64 40 3PCO.esp 65 41 hmkLockOn.esp 66 42 UltimateCombat.esp 67 43 Ordinator - Perks of Skyrim.esp 68 44 Alternate Start - Live Another Life.esp 69 45 ELFX - Hardcore.esp
MFitz56
Do you have the basic stability tools? 1) Crash fixes. Found here and fairly self-explanatory (as always, do read the directions): https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/72725 2) ENBoost. This one is more difficult and I hope to do a walkthrough at some point in the future. It is VERY important if you have less than 4GB of VRAM. If you have 8GB or more you probably don't need it. At 4GB it's your call (I have 4GB and I use it). Anyway, you will need to look in more than one place in order to complete this (although it will take you through it). Start here: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/73618 As if ENBoost is not difficult enough MicroSoft has chosen to throw some additional glitches in for users of Windows 10. If you have problems getting ENBoost to work and you run Windows 10 take a look at this (I had to): https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/3089504-fix-for-skyrim-crashing-instantly-with-enb-on-windows-10/?p=56131491 3) SKSE. ini. The SKSE program does not come with this. As a result you do not get all the benefits of SKSE. While you can make your own version this one is already complete and optimized. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/51038?tab=files 4) SKSE plugin preloader. Helps organize SKSE so as to improve management. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/75795 5) Bethini. Skyrim's .ini files give it directions on how to handle your game. Problems with .ini files can cause all sorts of problems. While it is entirely possible to deal with these files by yourself Bethini gives you a tool with which to handle them safely. It is also much more intuitive than editing the files by yourself. It can be found here: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/69787
wfandrews
I do not think that ELFX-Weathers and True Storms are compatible, although I could be wrong. Usually you cannot use ELFX-Weathers and any other weather mod without at least a patch. Might be why you crash when going to an exterior cell. I would run TES5Edit to check for incompatibilities. I would also check those fog mods to see whether they are compatible with True Storms, I have never used them so I do not know.
