OBSE & Full Screen

I am running OBSE 0021 beta 1 in order to use CSE 6.0. If I launch the game with the Oblivion Launcher I get full screen mode (1920x1080) but when I launch the game with OBSE_loader I get a window. It is not a true window as I cannot access the icons with the mouse to close or minimize it. Is there a setting I need to change to get full screen using OBSE?

Edit: I have tried changing the screen resolution and also using OBSE 0020 but there is still a window.

Thanks for any info.

I have found the solution. Running Windows 8 I have found it necessary to run obse_loader as administrator and (on a whim) when setting this under properties I checked the box to run compatibility mode for windows XP. Unchecking this solved the issue. Sorry for the stupid post.

Not stupid at all. This was a new one to me, and I suspect specific Windows 8 issues will be new to a great number of Oblivion users in the near future.

Knowing this can happen when things aren't cofigured 100% perfectly will definitely be valuable knowledge to others. I for one am warned now.

Thanks a lot, helped me too. I also noticed that not only obse_launcher had XP compatibility mode turned on, but Oblivion.exe as well. That one need it turned off too. Works as intended now.

Thank you so much for this! I had OBSE_Loader.exe set in compatibility mode for windows 7 and unchecking that fixed this! Anyone using windows 8 to play oblivion should look at this. I hope these kinds of necro's are allowed because there may be somebody else that needs to know about this, like i did myself.
