gohanf22
Ok so I have no idea what is causing this but for some reason one of my mods is causing my crafting stations to not have anything show up at all. It's like completely blank. I have no idea on how to find a log on what files I use but if anyone can help I would be very greatly appreciated. G4M3W1NN3R
what mod manager are you using ? if NMM = click on plugins tab: then click on 5th icon down (export load order as plugin list), locate said plugin list, and paste here if using mod organizer locate pluginslist.txt and paste here Note: All mods managers should have some form of text document that contains all installed mods, i am however only familiar with NMM and Wrye Bash with regards to mod organizers as such i can only help with said mod managers, with regards to acquiring your load order. however it should not be too hard to find some sort of plugins text document with the other mod managers. Note: if you have an excessive amount of mods, use spoiler tags [*spoiler]Mod list goes here[*/Spoiler] Remove asteriks to create spoilers. also just to clarify, what is the actual issue you want help with: your Topic Title and your primary post are 2 entirely different issues. Black Crafting stations can be caused by messed up specular maps, the mod Enhanced Blood Textures can cause this issue if you select 1 of the alternate map options (in its fomod), this can make the crafting stations as well as codsworth appear a black matte colour. (because it probably modifies the shared specular map that is also used for crafting stations + codsworth, thus resulting in black matte) as for blank workbenches (missing crafting options) this can be caused by mod conflicts with regards to omods. Note: OMODS (Formaly: Object Modifications) are the options that appear in the weapon and armor workbench that consists of all options such as reciever upgrades, magazine size, scopes for weapons etc etc, and basically all options for armor and clothing, such as legendary modifications, lining etc etc, basically the OMODS are Literally the Options That Appear in Said Workbenches. Note: the second thing is Keywords, if a weapon and or piece of armor/clothing does not have any Keywords, then they themselves will not appear in the weapon and or armor workbench. No OMODS and or Keywords = Nothing will appear in the Workbenches (Only Applies to Weapon and Armor WorkBenches), thus resulting in an Empty Workbench. so you either have a Mod Conflict or a Mod has Deleted the OMODS and or Keywords (unlikely but you never know) and as such if said mod has indeed deleted them and placed lower in the load order, it will nullify all other mods that interact with the workbenches in any way (such as add options, crafting recipes or the like) Note: As For Chemistry Lab + Cooking Station + AWKCR Workbenches - these entirely rely on Keywords, if these keywords are not present for said apparel, weapons and or cooking recipes then they will not appear in said workbenches. So to sum it up: OMODS + Attach Points + Keywords + Crafting Recipes (witch consist of Keywords and a workbench recipe to make said weapon and or armor appear in said workbench) if any of these are conflicting or not present, then the workbenches will be empty. gohanf22
If its keywords missing or OMODs causing the blank menus, how do I fix it back so they appear on all workbenches?
G4M3W1NN3R
If its keywords missing or OMODs causing the blank menus, how do I fix it back so they appear on all workbenches? technically no mod should be deleting OMODS or anything connected to crafting workbenches. so i would assume no mod that you have does indeed delete these. so to fix it should be a simple matter of removing the mod conflict. or it could be a load order priority based issue. so now that we have the load order. 1 final question before we get into it: are you having said issue with every single Workbench (Armor, Weapons, AWKCR Workbenches, Chemistry lab and Cooking Station) or only with specific ones i asked the above, because if you are having said issue with every single workbench listed, then i suspect the issue could very well be because of the recent update to fallout, and thus all mods that interact with either of these workbenches, may need updating using the latest creation kit, due to changes bethesda has made with both the latest update, and the new creation kit update. <-- if this is the reason, then it may not even be a mod conflict, it should be a matter of updating all mods via the new CK Edited December 14, 2019 by G4M3W1NN3R
gohanf22
atm so far i have seen is the base ones which are armor workbench, cooking stations (the one that is a pot and the one that is on a spit), the chem station, weapons workbench and the ammo workbench which im guessing that is from AWKCR so im thinking every single one. G4M3W1NN3R
i just checked AWKCR bug topic section to see if any others are having issues with the crafting workbenches, and found this latest bug report. AWKCR - Bug: topic Crafting benches not displaying anything. 2 people have confirmed 12 december 2019 (baring in mind AWCKR has not updated using the latest creation kit) which is in the same time frame as the latest update to fallout 4 + Creation kit. so i am indeed going to assume that the reason your crafting benches are blank, is indeed because of the latest fallout 4 update. as such all mods that you use that create new workbenches, add crafting recipes or interact with any of the vanilla crafting workbenches, will need to be updated using the new creation kit. Note: i am no longer playing fallout 4 (have not done in the past few weeks), and as such the last version i was using is the version previous to the new update, so i dont know too much about the latest version, but i do know it is a major update and a rework. and thus requires most mods to be updated using the new creation kit. from what i gather. you have 2 options in this case. 1. fallback to the previous version of fallout, which i believe is 1.6.138 or 2. wait for all the mods that you have that use the crafting stations to update using the latest creation kit. Note: from what i gather All mods from here on out (currently mods that use the crafting stations, but who knows what other mods will be affected), that is made using the latest creation kit, will not work on previous versions of the game, and likewise most mods (again that use the crafting stations) made on the previous version of creation kit, will not work properly or at all on the latest version of the game. gohanf22
the version atm is 1.10.163 and i went back to 1.10.162 but nothing changed so it has to be the update before they implemented the creation club stuff cause im guessing that was the update that screwed up F4SE why my crafting benches aren't working. do you know which update that was implemented. im thinking it was in either 2018 or late 2017. Edit: Also, if i rollback this to previous version, i know the F4SE will need rolled back as well as other mods.
G4M3W1NN3R
the version atm is 1.10.163 and i went back to 1.10.162 but nothing changed so it has to be the update before they implemented the creation club stuff cause im guessing that was the update that screwed up F4SE why my crafting benches aren't working. do you know which update that was implemented. im thinking it was in either 2018 or late 2017. Edit: Also, if i rollback this to previous version, i know the F4SE will need rolled back as well as other mods. not really sure which version prior to latest update messed everything up, but i do know for a fact that version 1.6.138 has none of these issues ( so i will call it the last stable build), as that was the version i was using, and thus never updated beyond that version (updated as in downgraded, as each new update seems to mess up the game even more so, from the point of modders), primarily because all updates are literally and strictly only for creation club content (nothing important like fixes and the like), and since they dont fix anything, it does not interest me at all (the CC stuff never interested me either, and the ESL file format which is the only other reason to update to the lastest version since they have increased the record limit size for the ESL file format, however it is largely redundant and has issues on its own) i only used to update when newer versions of the mods i used required updating the game, as they added new stuff, however after seeing all the problem based posts on updates of the game post 1.6.138, i decided that will be the version i stick with as to not experience the same issues as others. i also backed up my entire fallout 4 files, as to prevent forced updates. so yea. i strongly recommend going back to version 1.6.138 if you can. however in doing so, you wont be able to use mods that are made on the latest version of the CK, so pretty much the expression: stuck between a rock and a hard place applies here.
