JakeDarkling
It's extremely gross. I think the thing I like the least about it is the feeling of detachment.Like, whoever signed off on this decision must be pretty detached from the userbase to think that this is cool.I'm in the boat with the users who turned adblock on for this site now.and that bit i highlighted is exactly why this new page exists. So, you agree that this is a "cutting off your nose to spite your face" scenario, then?
Guest deleted34304850
no, i don't. i'm simply pointing out why the page exists.by the way, what's your other account called, you know, the one you use, rather than this one you're using to post with? axonis
@1ae0bfb8 -- you could simply take a look at Jake's profile and see that he's a member since 2013.
Asajev
Well I might be an ignorant person but from an ethical stand point and a practical stand point how is the forcing or aggressive promotion of the Premium membership any different then Mods for sale model that was attempted on Steam or the Creation Club? In my book the merits/demerits on free or paid membership become irrelevant when an organization rolls out this kind of change and did not give prior notice to its community. Others have already mentioned how unethical the move looks. If the objective of the change was to promote the use of Premium accounts then it has failed because the organization has lost the trust of its free members. I was lucky to have been given my current status on this page by a kind member that I helped out with their mod but the change without documentation makes me question the management of the organization and makes me distrustful of them. Was it that controversial to write an article on the issue. I feel if that was done this would not have had as much of a negative effect.

JakeDarkling
@1ae0bfb8 -- you could simply take a look at Jake's profile and see that he's a member since 2013.But I only have one post, the one previous to this one, so, I understand his worry. Plus, it allows him to disregard anything I say over "iT's aN AlT AcCouNt", so, you know. no, i don't. i'm simply pointing out why the page exists.by the way, what's your other account called, you know, the one you use, rather than this one you're using to post with?If they added an annoyance feature because they knew it'd make people start wanting to actively spite them, or simply stop supporting them, as you say, that is quite counterproductive. That is what would mean, if that is " why this new page exists".

If nothing really annoyed me before, I had no reason to complain, 'innit?
twisted630
If i have to click download three times to actually a download a mod and keep seeing this select download type again like it's some shady third party website, I will never support this website again. Lominsa
Thanks for making the process of downloading mods about three times as time consuming. Maybe switching to bethesda.net isn't such a bad idea after all.. It feels like I'm using some sketchy Russian hosting site, not the biggest modding site on the internet.
