My problem is specifically levelled ambush actors and how they are set up.Likely it's my understanding of the system that's lacking. Specifically my problem is around their combat styles, set on the AI data tab. The levelled ambush actors basically use the same levelled character lists and templates as the non-ambush actors, with the exception that the template data passed down from them is not to include AI Data, AI packages or script. I get that because they need the master Ambush script, ambush packages and they need to be set to unaggressive and helps nobody. I guess the last bit is to prevent them coming out of ambush if one of their mates in the next room gets attacked. The difficulty for me is that the AI Data tab is where the combat style is set, so from what I can tell, there's no way for an ambush actor to use the stronger combat packages that their counterparts can use. Looking at the master ambush script, I can see that their aggression is set back to very aggressive when they come out of ambush, they evaluate their packages but nothing else. I can't see how they ever have a combat style other than the one set on the levelled actor. Am I missing something, or are all ambush actors weaker (offensively) than their counterparts in cases where multiple combat styles are used?
