steinbeck
Linked up with Vilja did a couple of small things then she took us to the Eldergleam Sanctuary or nearby at a farm. So I finished up going there with her and when she met this woman she told me (as far as I could understand due to the water noise) that she was staying there?? Is this correct? Good job I saved just prior to going in. steinbeck
Gremxula
you may need the subs on or voices up or sound effects down. That part of the quest is...you find the other girlVilja and girl speakyou get a note to deliverVilja and friend stay behind for a private conversation. Companion Vilja is a very wordy MOD 4000 lines of dialogue so it is best to stand close to the speaking NPC's for a few seconds after your click your line to get the bottle. Did you get to hear about the large Nord thinking he is growing a donkey tail? it may be useful info later that could be missed if you just clicked on get bottle and run off. That info may be useless or make you life easier later on. Just one of several lines that may or may not have clues in one of your "small things"

My problem is wearing a hearing aid which tends, as they do, background noise first. Maybe I should start again with her??? One thing is certain.......I will have her as my companion, mate, pal, whatever ! perhaps I should teach her sign language as this was my work before retirement and work with the deafblind. Gremxula
Yes you missed it but that may have been a bit "filler dialogue" and not been related to a quest later. Vilja will spontaneously chap to you or other NPC's or NPC's to Vilja. She seems to have a lot to say to Lydia but ignores Sarana. Expect her to speak about 2 times a minute.Even those of us with normal hearing can find it difficult to catch all the dialogue due to way Skyrim treats all the dialogue ans ambient sounds with both distance and direction fading. Distance to my ears seems normal. The direction volume fading is way to steep, normally in the game this isn't a problem as you are turned to face or are approaching an NPC when they speak. It soon becomes normal to turn towards her when you hear her voice or see the subtitles. As to the gossip it does not matter if you miss some I don't think Emma & Co would put anything "Quest Breaking" there but maybe some clues ans certainly back-story and humor. Buy Vilja a bottle of Alto wine next time you ard in a Tavern :D

I don't know of any other NPC in any other game or even this one with the attraction of Vilja. She becomes a game all on her own. One almost plays just to hear her and watch her. Certainly she lifts a game up a 1000% .Did as you suggested and switched on subtitles. steinbeck. Edited November 5, 2012 by steinbeck
