Okay, no worries... they stay in! Neloth's fine features will be reinstated... I love Neloth.

I'm going to take a look at that version of SSEedit tomorrow. I can't understand why they took out manual editing. Auto editing is never going to be as good as manual. How does the software know what you meant to edit and what you didn't... crazy.

I'll get back to you tomorrow, probably not before 6pm UK time. It's 2:30 now, so this old man is going to bed!

Bye for now.

There are two exe files for TESVEdit and SSEEdit now in Version 4 one for just cleaning and one for editing; it is irritating so I stick with Version 3. It may not make a difference but I would not use SSEEdit for LE files or vice versa just to be on the safe side.

On this particular problem which I haven't seen before; as far as I can see xEdit does not show the file path of the actual sound files so there is a possibility it does not pick this up as an edit in which case you can't delete it. As I say this is only a possibility (try editing first); but if it is the case you are left with re pointing to the correct sound files which you will have to extract from the Skyrim - Sounds.bsa

I've got possible good news...

I was unable to fix the issue completely whilst retaining the dialogue you had entered for Kharjo, (the forms where the papyrus scripts were overwritten)

All I've managed to get to is that i have a version of your esp which retains everything else and edits those forms mentioned above to restore them (more or less) to the original.

I tested , found Kharjo and all of his follower dialogue works.

Sorry, but That's the best I could manage. It took me all morning... like agerweb, I'venever had a problem like this before.

Let me know what you think

Edit: he follows, takes orders, waits, fights for you, trades items, can be dismissed and re-hired and uses the correct Khajiit vanilla lines

By 'More or less', TIFC - info count is different to vanilla. I have no clue if that's important or not. It's also different for the same records in Hearthfires and Dragonborn, so I guess not?

OK it would help if you did it because only you know exactly what you want editing.

Understanding is not helped by the only example in the xEdit wiki being a complicated one involving changing formIDs when all that most of us want is to remove edits on vanilla items we made by mistake.

When you have loaded your esp into xEdit apply filter for cleaning so edits of vanilla items will be highlighted in green. In your case you need to root about under Dialogue Topic to find the specific line you have edited that you think you shouldn't have. When you select it in the left pane (of xEdit) you will see it displayed in the right pane, this gives you a display of the vanilla version and next to it your edited version. If you right click on the selected item in the left pain and select remove from the dropdown menu the edit on that vanilla item will be removed.
