darkdill
With all the mods and scripts my game is running, things seem to be jamming up fairly quickly. Using the console command 'pcb' (without quotation marks) does help, but having to put it in repeatedly is a pain. I remember someone mentioning that there exists a mod that does this automatically for the player, but he never said where to find it. If it exists, can anyone point me in the right direction? If not, or if it doesn't exist, does someone think they might be able to make this kind of mod? There was one that existed for Fallout: New Vegas, and it was really handy. Making a similar mod for Skyrim would really help people who constantly have too many things going on in nearby cells, and would improve performance for most players significantly. Tom2681
I was told the pcb command doesn't work in Skyrim. If it did, I'm sure someone would have come up with a simple script that executes it at regular intervals. Can someone confirm or deny? I know what mod you're talking about too.But it doesn't do anything. It's just a placebo.

I'm running close to 200 plugins right now, and even though I've got a pretty good machine the game can get gummed up. Using pcb when trying to traverse open fields with lots of enemies to be found can really help clear away lag issues. Every little bit helps, and an automatic pcb script would be very helpful. It wasn't a placebo so much as it was someone's attempt at making it happen without full knowledge of modding. Basically, he thought it would work and it didn't. But yes, if there was a way to run the script at regular intervals, I think a lot of players would have much smoother gameplay over all.
J3X
I don't think that PSB would help at all, it's like emptying your caches. They only needs to be filled again.

demidekidasu
The one for New Vegas (and wasn't there one for FO3 too?) seemed to cause more problems than it solved, if I remember correctly. It would be wiser and probably safer to just lower the "UgridsToLoad" (whatever the entry is called) value in the ini file. But you will need to do it whilst the game is running and then type "refini" into the console, otherwise your game will crash when trying to load saves.
