Different SkyrimPref.ini

I am one of those people who are constantly starting a new game. When I do so I often validate my master files, this creates new ini files in My Documents/Skyrim. I have noticed that I get two different SkyrimPref.ini files in a seemingly random process.

One file is missing these lines under [Display] it goes like this;

[Display]

iPresentInterval then one Pref.ini will have these lines under PresentInterval

iShadowFilter

bShadowsOnGrass

bTransparencyMultiSampling

bDeferredShadows

bDrawShadows

and one pref.ini will not.

Any idea why the two different, seemingly random pref.ini's; and do you think I should add those lines when I get a pref.ini without them?

To clear up any confusion iPresentInterval is the last line under [Display] in the prefs.ini missing those five lines.

Get Bethini here:

It is put together by the people who brought you the STEP guide. Use it at the beginning of your game and you will have good and consistent ini files.

I will give it a shot although I am extremely leery of other peoples configuration of ini files. They seem to think that every persons computer is identical and their game setups are the same when the exact opposite is true.

The STEP guide is great if you follow it faithfully but quite often just picking out pieces here and there does not work.

Tried it, could no longer run full screen, junked it.

Thank you for your suggestion though.
