Michlo
PC stats in my profile but well over requirements. Vista 64. I only started last night and this and the flickering faces problem is really putting me off. Any advice please? Cheers.
mikekearn
The only advice I can give is the basics: make sure all your drivers are up to date, try lowering the settings a bit, make sure you don't have programs running in the background, that sort of stuff. You can also try uninstalling the game, defragging your hard drive, and reinstalling the game. Good luck, hope it helps.
gandalftw
Did nHancer help with that problem too?If not have you tried running Fallout in compatibility mode?

No, it did not and no I have not, mate. I may have to resort to that. :) It is a little ironic given that in my first post about me not being really interested in this game it was because I thought all fighting had to be done using VATS. ;)

Michlo
Aye, a patch is the first thing I check for when installing a new game, thanks though. :) I just tried XP SP2 compatibility mode...... I can now see VATS (I just wanted to see what it looks like, after all), heh. Gandalf, for the win! Cheers. Edit - So there I was thinking, wow, that's the first time Vista has let me down.... I played for about ten minutes, tried out the VATS system a couple of times (interesting but not my cup of tea) and then I got my first ever game freeze. heh. So, it looks like I'm back to a Vista game with no VATS.

What a complicated world it is lol.I have Vista 32 and have had numerous freeze ups.I believe, it just might be possible that the error is in Beths game and not Vista.I may be wrong  but i think we need more patches.I use vats once in a while but my aiming has improved since i added the mod that centers the view. Good one that is.
