Ithlia Posted November 6, 2012 Posted November 6, 2012 I've been having a problem with adding new meshes to my mods since the CK update. I keep my player resource meshes in a different drive, mostly to save space. I used to be able to drag a mesh from D drive over to my Skyrim data folder in C drive, load it up in the CK and then drag and drop it in the render window. Now if I do that the mesh won't work, I get the red question mark. What I have to do now is load the mesh in the CK, as I use to, but now I have to exit the CK and restart it before dragging the new mesh into the render window. This is a tad tedious. Anyone know why this is happening now?
samv96UK Posted November 6, 2012 Posted November 6, 2012 Hey, it's lucky I noticed this just now otherwise I would have thought I've been having some rare bug... but it seems you're having the same issue as me since the Creation Kit update. I really hope someone finds out a solution to this as it is, as you say, very tedious. :wallbash:

steve40 Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 Maybe you have to edit the file paths in your SkyrimEditorPrefs.ini, it may have been overwritten by the update.

Ithlia Posted November 8, 2012 Author Posted November 8, 2012 Thanks throttlekitty. I had posted on the Bethesda forums as well and some kind soul told me about F5 there. F5 does work for this issue. Apparently there are a few people experiencing this.
