Orange is needed: if you take 2 colors, yellow and red if you mix yellow with yellow and red with red you will not gain anything other than yellow and red. the only way to achieve orange is to mix yellow and red. We must base our society entirely on simple biology. If we abandon our natural selves, life is not worth living. We must smite the heretics who dare to alter such fundamental laws. I have to ask - why the distinction between 'people' and 'gays'? Gay people are just that - gay PEOPLE. They are not some kind of strange alien race, they are human beings. I have yet to see one baby come from 2 guys. (or 2 chicks) Coming from two guys or gals? Not without gene-splicing or something of that nature. Being brought up, cared for and nurtured by same-gender couples? Yes. Humans along with every other animal can only produce offspring with egg and sperm. Female and male required. As has already been pointed out, not all animals need male and female. now to legality of gay marraiges. America is mainly here for freedom. we have the right and responsibility to live and to give life. I don't see how homosexuals can do this. Yes, you have the right to 'give life' as you put it. You do not have the responsibility to do so, as you are not legally obliged to have children. OT for examples. take nature. Opposites attract. Magnets north and south go together. same poles repel. electricity: electrons flow from negative to positive, not negative to negative or positive to positive. Homosexuality is like taking 2 extension cords and trying to attatch them together by same ends. it's not realistic and you wouldn't be able to plug anything in and have power to what you need it to. We all know the definition of marriage so i won't repeat it but just remember that gay marriage is not marriage... Just make a new word for gay marriage and no one can argue it. Some people are very touched by the meaning of marriage. It's not fair to change it for them. This can be fixed so easily yet we make it so hard. Most people against this aren't against gays they just want marriage to keep it's meaning... is that so hard?So I say keep everyone happy and give gays a new name for marrige and let the others keep their meaning... no one loses anything and everyone gets what they want... America has been taught this lesson over and over again. "the voluntary union for life of two persons to the exclusion of all others". is the definition of marriage to which I, and many others, including many Canadian provinces, and some European countries subscribe. To add in references to sexual orientation is to dilute and bastardaize the definition of marriage. Refusing to allow Gays to marry is unconstitutional denial of civil rights to a group based on religious prejudices. Let people marry whomever they please.If you are against same-sex marriage, don't marry someone of the same sex as you, and keep your busy-body nose out of everyone else's business. Simple. Done. And your seperate but equal crap--- Our world will never be equal... as long there are people who want others to have an edge over others, we will not be equal...If we were equal, race, sex, and other things wouldn't split us up, but it does.Think about it, every job or state testing like SAT and ACT you ever took always asked if you were black, white, hispanic, ect.-- Why should they know that? How you do on test and apply for jobs has nothing to do with race. You know what that is called? reverse racism... that is where you give another race a bumb up because of the color of their skin. that is ridiculus... I don't think America will ever learn... they are always to busy making life better for someone else... Anyway, sorry for taking another tangent, my goal was not to highjack, back to gay marriages... I NEVER SAID THAT CAN'T BE TOGETHER... I SAID... DON'T...CALL...IT...MARRIAGE... I have talked to several gay people and all of them said they didn't care what it was called as long as it was an option... so make easy... new word... all happy... -besides, isn't marriage a christian thing? most gays are not christian... (ya see, god... yeah... don't like gay people) I'M NOT CHRISTIAN- just thought I would let you know before any replys come screaming at me...
