davethepak
I am fairly sure this is not possible, but I am hoping that I just missed it. Short version:I have a weapon that I want to change the description of over time (different game events). I suspect that I will just have to use an event script to replace it with another similar item with the description I want, but if anyone has a better way to change an object's description please let me know. thank you for any ideas. cumbrianlad
Hi. Don't get too optimistic about my reply! I just hate people never getting a response. I had a look at it but I can't see a way. About all I could think of is the workaround that Bethesda use for armour set bonuses, you know the one? Something like "Stamina rate is increased by 10 points for each item worn". I don't know if the 'events' you had in mind would lend itself to that sort of thing? You probably thought of that workaround, anyway. I also wondered about how globals are sometimes used in quests, as in "Enemies killed (<global=DunValthumeVesselCollectionCount>/3)", but that's in an objective and there's a facility to declare the globals in the quest data tab. I couldn't see any similar mechanism for weapons. Hope someone else gets back to you!
