samroski
Elite is coming back, with bells and whistles. For those who may be too young to remember, Elite was released in the mid-80s and I suppose it was the direct predecessor of Eve. It was very similar, but single player with wireframe 3D graphics (first of its kind), and with procedurally generated galaxies to explore- totally amazing. And in less than 40k :) I played it endlessly in the late 80s and early 90s (on the Spectrum 48k first and Amiga later). Those of us who played it (and were addicted to it) in the 80s are mostly in our 40s now, and can easily afford to finance this project, so I am sure it will come through. This is an amazing time for space games, with 2 new MMOs announced in one month. Much needed competition for Eve.

Ivovis
Am backing this, have been a long time Eve player but get frustrated at CCP's direction from time to time, I rage quite at least twice a year! .....always in the back of my mind is the hope that an Elite sequel will turn up to give CCP some competition, hoping this wish will come true. Vindekarr
It will have... non-vector graphics, right? Naw, if they could create such a wonderful, absorbing, almost endlessly explorable game with an aglomeration of lines and hexagons, I can't wait to see what they can do with a budget, modern tech, and years to let their creative ideas ferment.
