loco2304
Hi Everyone, I'm running Mod Manager through the Fallout 4 Script Extender but the game seems to crash after 3-5mins with the following message at the time of the crash?0: 04: 03 Waiting for process completion successfull. I'm able to play the beginning of the game up until the point where everyone in Sancturary Hills is running for the vault. If no one knows the cause of the crash, can you recommend a load order for Mod Manager e.g. textures first? I've tried running the game with only Mod Manager Launching the Script Extender of Fallout 4 and the game continues to crash  Update: To make matters worse, this happens without mods too :( Edited December 30, 2019 by loco2304

StormWolf01
Heya Loco! This has got to be a pain in the rump for you! This pretty much makes it so that you can't even play. :(When you say that this happens without mods, are you trying this on the same savegame that had been crashing before, or on a new character? If you're using the same character/save game, then the problem may be script related. And since scripts bake into your savegames, you're actually making it worse, since the script is now looking for something that isn't there anymore. If the problem is there, when you're trying a fresh game, with a fresh save, then yeah...you may have a damaged file there in your pre-war sanctuary. Yeah, I've just tried starting a brand new game using no mods and just vanilla but I still seem to crash. I've tried running the game through compatibility mode for windows 8, running as administrator but no still no luck :( At least I know it's not a mod issue. It does sound as though there's something about prewar sanctuary that isn't working right. You might try this out, and see if it lets you get passed the problem. I'm not recommending it as a whole out, total solution, but to see if your game will at least still be playable. https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/28562With this mod, once you finish character creation, it will zip you straight to the vault, where you are exiting the cryo pod. I make a LOT of new characters, so I used this mod a lot in the past, since I got tired of the whole opening scene. Under most conditions, it does work. There's a invisible activator pad next to the bath tub. It will ask if you want to play normally or skip ahead. I'm not entirely sure, but I think there's also a confirmation screen at the start of the game asking if you want to use it or not.Again.... I'm not really suggesting this as a fix for the problem that you're having, but I would definitely like to see that you're able to at least play ;)
