Will the F3 expansion be a seperate game?

I was never really able to play oblivion so I don't kwow about how bethsada handled the expansions for that game, but I am eager for a F3 expansion, if/when it is released. What I'm not so sure of is whether it would simply be a seperate game which you'd just happen to need to own the original to play, or whether it would be an expansion of the existing game world in fallout 3, seamlessly attached to it...how did they do this for shivering isles etc in Oblivion? If that is the case anyway it would be pretty awesome, not that F3's world isn't big enough -I have hardly seen a quarter of it, probably less.

Well dont believe we'll see an expansion that fast ;)

Tho if there where to be one it'll probably just seamlessy expand the old game.

Thats how they always done things =)

Well in oblivion, they sold expansions on disks in stores, but it were just like any community created mod you would download though. Only that it had a self installer, which a few community made mods had anyway. A real rip off with the price though, like around $70 (which is almost $60 us)

Bethesda said in an interview that they would release an expansion similar to something like The Knights of the Nine for Oblivion, not to far from now, but too soon either.

I think they will just add some more quests, items etc. and maybe some new areas(?).

The problem is that Oblivion, your game continues indefinetly after you finish the main quest. How are they going to make it work for those that have completed the game in Fallout 3? Knights of the Nine and Shivering Isles all worked because you could just keep playing nomatter where you were in the game.
