Cannot reach the nexus login server

I have been using NMM offline for awhile now and wondering why I could not connect. Now I know.

In the end I bit the bullet (have over 150 skyrim mods) and downloaded version 46.

I then got it to check and update the mod versions and it is now working fine but I had my heart in my mouth.

Just like the above:

- cannot reach the nexus login server error on NMM 045 version

- guess its a login problem

- Use off-line version for two days; until I had time to google it

- found this post ;skipped past the whining and moaning to the end

- downloaded new version 046

- uninstalled old version; just clicked whatever to the prompts

- installed the downloaded exe.

- run it and get a login renewal message

- logged in and everything is back to normal

Cant see what the problem is with some people. The off-line version works fine in the short term

Make very, very certain (check again) that you have the latest version of NMM.

I fumed about this for quite a while before checking, and finding that I did not. Check again.

Thanks ! Updating it worked

Just had the exact same issue again - this time about 7 times in a row (just updated prior to this problem). But when I searched for a solution and it was trying to connect in the background, it suddenly worked as soon as I entered this thread. Maybe it's just a "Google's visit" that randomly keeps the login server busy or something? So far "retrying" did the trick for me - sometimes sooner, sometimes later.

So, make sure you've got the latest version, as Kluelos stated, and then r
