GruppaA
Hi modders. I'm helping my cousin in Ukraine mod his FO4, and for the most part I told him to install what I have. But he did add a few mods on his own apparently, and now when he goes to character creation, the face comes in super close and upside down. He does the same as me, he puts his mods through the FO4Edit after using Vortex to DL and install mods. I did not have this uhhh..... error? when I create my latest character, so I'm not sure what is the cause. Below is his mod list and load order. Can anyone recognize what mod could cause such a special thing? Thank you so much on behalf of Grisha, from Odessa Ukraine. Happy New Year
StormWolf01
Hi Gruppa and Grisha!Ugh, that is a bad problem. :(Ok, so I know that in the character creation, there is a specific camera that is used, which is lined up via the mirror, in the bathroom. Something has messed that camera's settings up. My first guess would be the CustomCamera.esp https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/29905?tab=descriptionHas your cousin gone in and checked the ini files for fallout 4, to make sure that the edit is there, that is mentioned in the description of the mod?Possibly putting that mod towards the end of the load order, might also solve the problem.Tho, from the posts in the comments section of that mod, it seems that some people do have problems with it. If moving the mod towards the lower end of the load order doesn't help, first, make a copy of the fallout4.ini and the custom.ini file both there in the mygames/fallout4 folder. Once those are saved to another place on the computer, delete them from the mygames folder. Run Fallout 4 game from the fallout4 launcher.exe so that the game will rebuild the ini files, then make sure the edit is there again after running the game. Wow, that is really strange. I have not ever seen that before! Good luck!-Storm
jsrobinson324
I'm having the same exact issue and I can't figure this out. When I exit the mirror the screen turns black so I can't even figure out if my mods are working. I'm on a fresh install of fallout 4, with a fresh mod install on a fresh version of Vortex. StormWolf01
Gruppa! That is great news! I am really glad to hear that! That was definitely a pretty messed up thing to see, starting out the game! *yikes*Very welcome, hope you and your cousin happy gaming:D JS- Ugh. You've got something that I'm really not sure about. I can kinda guess that the activator for switching from the mirror isn't working correctly. But really not sure what would be causing it, other than a script conflict. Are you running the start up character creation with a bare bones mod load order? You don't want to run all your mods til after you get out of the vault, because of all the scripts and activators that are in that sequence of events. You've said that you've recently installed. have you made sure that if you need f4se for any of those mods that the versions of the mods that require it, match up?IF you are running the most recent version of the game, have you run the steam app to verify all your game install files? You might also try the ini rebuild that I suggested. I mean, I really wanna try to get you running again, and past that. I'm having to rely on generic fixes tho. :(
Deleted35904685User
hey so I know I'm about a year late but I had this issue even with minimal mods enabled, I think I found the fix, IF you have F4SE, don't launch the game thru NMN, launch the game using the f4se_loader.exe, and I think that actually enables the game to use the script extender.
