SebG45
Hi.I just decided to play again at fallout 4, so i reinstalled the game, i lost all the mods i had install.Apparently i had a mod to have piper, curie and cait as companion, and i wan't them to be my companion. In game, they are my companion, but only curie follows me, piper and cait act like they are not my companons, the just walk away from me. I tried to fired them with the dialog options, but it doesn't works, they are my companion they just doesn't follow me. So what should i do to make them follow me again ? Thank you
StormWolf01
Heyas Seb!Ok, I'm afraid that I have some really bad news for you. This is what is commonly called the "Follower bug" and has been a vanilla issue, since like, forever.Essentially what happens, is that there is a script that fires off when you have a companion with you, and you take on a new companion. The script, is supposed go in the order of, you tell them to go away, you tell them where to go, and they leave. It doesn't always work like that tho. There are a couple of mods that you can TRY to use, to try to fix the problem, but they're NOT guaranteed to work.Companion Go HomeAmazing Follower TweaksMultiple Followers Overhaul Tee Party CompanionsEssentially, these mods provide a holotape that you can use to dismiss companions, and to set locations for them to go to.The locations to go to is what is messed up. Now comes the really bad news, and I'm sorry to have to give this to you. But if those mods (Oh I forgot to mention, that AFT and MFOTPC are not compatible with each other, don't try to run them together). If those mods don't fix it, there isnt any way to fix it. And, to make it even worse, the bug is baked into your savegames. What that means, is that as long as you play this on that particular character, it's gonna be broke. You literally have to start a new character in order to get rid of them :( Companion Go Home resets most of the default locations for companions.AFT does that too, but also allows you to take more control over your companions. You might try using it's move companion to you, then send to where ever function.Tee party, I haven't used, but I read that it can reset their location to go away to. Good luck. And hey, just be thankful. I got stuck with Strong when this happened. I never want to hear his voice EVER again!
