StormWolf01
Ok, I went ahead and looked it up what JSON actually stands for. The description is actually rather comical. It stands for Java Script Object Notation, and it's essentially coordinate instructions for 3d settings. Here's the description from the company. JSON (JavaScript Object Notation) is a lightweight data-interchange format. It is easy for humans to read and write. It is easy for machines to parse and generate. I like that it's formatted a lot like script. That's very interesting. I guess that by installing Java, it helps windows to understand the json files better. Myself, I think I'll pass tho. I get really sick and tired of the java update incessant nagging. Especially from my browsers. Hmmmmm. I may have to look into the grayscale and color gradients thing. And seeing how hard that would be to add to something's textures with photoshop. I've seen the grayscale textures before, and those are easy to make from the colored textures. The color gradients is a new thing for me. I'm actually kinda wishing I was a lot better in the CK. Your comment from before had got me thinking about a bearded ladies carnival mod for Nukaworld :D
robotized
Well, I'm not fully sure, just suspecting it's the Java installation. At least it's good to edit now.Checking out material BGSM files for hair. Under Material tab, Greyscale Texture is actually the color gradient, but I think it's rather called palette. The diffuse texture for the hair is in grayscale(not color). And on the previous tab General, there is option enabled "Greyscale to Palette". If you are creating something new, use existing color palette, that way you save some efforts and also can match the hair colors. Yeah, look it up somewhere, because I'm getting a little confused. One more thing - changing color for the hair(also same is for Combat Armor) is done with Color Remapping Index, which is a value that points to a position on the palette.Using model file paths from male beards and they can be attached to female. Color of the beard can be switched with the hair color. But there are clipping issues. Putting the beard nif file through Outfit Studio, the clipping is a lot different here. There is a high chance you make the beard too big(detached from the skin/sticking out) and what's worse, it loses the ability to morph with the face. It's like in BodySlide you build morphs for the body only and forgot to do it for the outfits. Beards are complicated. I will leave them alone :D . StormWolf01
I definitely know what you mean about the beards. I've seen some of the ported hair mods that do what you're talking about.I can also see how it would be difficult, as the mesh for the female face is a different shape and proportion that the male is. It's good info to know, I definitely appreciate you taking the time to go over that. But...I'm really sorry, I was kinda...joking about the bearded ladies. ummmm *awkward* Guess I shoulda mentioned "JK" my bad. As for the java.... Right, as long as it works :)I wasn't trying to argue or anything. I was just saying. I wouldn't try to dis you while you're trying to teach me stuff ;) OK! I see what you're saying about the greyscale being the platform for the hair color. yeah, some other games are like that too. Greyscale textures, and then hues and/or tones applied to the greyscale foundation. And then, in this game, there's different diffuse filters that get applied also. Gotcha gotcha. Ugh, Eroded....sorry. You're getting alot more than you bargained for, aren't you?
robotized
All is well, no arguing here :) .I gotta say, when I was writing about PNAM Type->Facial Hair, it crossed my mind - would it be possible to put a beard on female character. Well, now we know it is not as simple as using only the mesh.Again, my apologies Eroded for getting sidetracked.
