LE College robe replacements?

This has probably been asked before, but l didn't have the energy to sift through the topics when they all seemed *very* different from one another.

Anyway, has anyone came across a decent robe replacement? At this point i'm tempted to start enchanting tavern clothes just for something visually interesting. All the college type robes are so... repetitive. /:

Any ideas?

There's a mod on steam that has modified, recolored dark brotherhood robes available for mages. There's also a lot of mods that change the mage robes to nocturnal robes, but even if those robes didn't look cold and impractical, the stiffness of the sleeves bothers me. There's another mod with the option to replace the Archmage robes with the Triss recolor of your choice.

 

Any of these interest you? I can get links easily enough. I personally just gave the vanilla dark brotherhood robes the master-level destruction robe enchantment, and that's what I'm sticking with for now. There really isn't much.

The darkbrother hood one tbh. I tried the nocturnal version, & the ability to change the archmage robes to various colors. (There are two mods that do it similarly, with the smithing workbenches.)

 

Ideally what i'd REALLY love is someone to just go replace the entire series of mage robes with different/new styles, but at least the db ones sound interesting..

 

Hell, l'd even be happy if someone just changed it so the enchantments are on the common clothes instead. IMO they look a lot more interesting, evne if slightly...ahem. slutty. and chilly.

 

as for the nocturnal thing..yeah, l didn't like em either. I found the sleeves annoying, and the quality of the skin showing "through" the robe to be lacking compared to my actual skin. They don't actually use your skin texture. :>

Bad news. It doesn't appear to be a replacer. It's just a craftable, but some variety is better than none?

 

I'm not much of a modder, but I could slap the enchantment on the vanilla tavern clothing and hand you the esp if you want (which is exactly what I did for myself with the DB robes). As I'm not entirely sure if I can make it unique, it would effect everyone... but it's not like tavern people are generally great spellcasters who engage you in combat.

Hey it's a workaround l can live with. lol.

l'm just sick of every variation of the robes looking the same. my character never changes!

l'll grab the db one for an option too, for later. I'd actually forgotten about teh db entirely, don't ask me how. hah. ty very much :)

Any specific magic enchantment you want? Illusion? Conjuration? Destruction? Alteration? Restoration? The Archmage specific enchant that reduces the costs for everything?

hmm. l'm not sure. l haven't specialized my character yet. she's only level 3 l think. would it be a difficult process? lol... not the archmage one tho, l wanna play this as difficultishly as l can. and that is a very...weird...word. o.O

It's not hard to do.. open up the CK, load the skyrim masterfile, find your wench clothing, doubleclick on it, and pick whatever enchantment strikes your fancy. I could also do the high-mana regen with no spell cost reductions enchantment.

nah the standard ones are perfectly fine. whatever one you wanna do is fine, if you're sure you don't mind. i might end up doing a couple myself, or modding some of the other clothing or something...lol. ty soo much :P

It's the master-robe mana-regen on tavern clothing, but without any reduced spell costs. Also included are dark brotherhood robes with the master-level destruction robe-enchantment. They don't even have a regeneration bonus in vanilla, which is incredibly lame. I used the master-level, because it's hard to get that regen rate with in-game enchanting, without abusing glitches.
