Ceolweld
Saying this once does not seem to convince people, so let me try saying it: If a mod description (yes, you have to read them) says a specific DLC or other mods are required, that mod will install fine but Fallout 4 will crash due to the missing Master. That is not an opinion - that is a fact. Nothing we can do to make you believe it though. Meanwhile - only install mods you have all the requirements for. Err, but I already understood and accepted that fact. No need to be snarky.

You seem to have accepted the need for prerequisites.

Using the vanilla in game installer, or some other installers, the game will not activate an esp/esl/esm that does not have the required mod file. If you're using the in game installer for fallout 4 (with butthesda.net), it won't even try to install the mod if the required mod isn't installed.[Edit: Correction, it will try, then stop. [/edit] It will say that it can't. You guys, are saying that Vortex will bypass that, which... I did not know. And did not expect. I said absolutely nothing about lack of required mods causing the game to crash. I said that they wouldn't be installed. Based on the above ^Therefor, you can take your snark and have fun eating it

Mods installed by Bethesda don't follow the same rules as mods installed manually. In this context, mod managers count as "mods installed manually".
