DevinJam
I have some mods that allow me to recruit or spawn new NPCs to be settlers. They are settlers not assigned to a settlement that can be recruited or moved. The problem is that when i move them i have discovered there is a cap to how many settlers i can recruit (5).Im wanting my natural population cap for NPCS that spawn in the game and was hoping to find a way to spawn children with another mod to be the only thing that goes past that cap. that way i have a full settlement of adults plus a handful of children. Im wanting 7 kids for a population of 30 for example. so i need at least to be able recruit two more. I already know how to incress the max population. im just wanting the recuitable cap to go up.In case your having trouble understanding what im talking about. here is that allows you to recruit settlers i only want to increase the number of settlers i can recruit that way. https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/16304/?tab=posts&BH=1 Edited January 13, 2020 by DevinJam
StormWolf01
Heya Devin! Ok, in the vanilla game, the amount of settler cap is made up by the levels of your character's PERKS.The higher the required perks, the more settlers you can have. Which a vanilla cap of (I THINK) ten. There's kind of a reason for that cap. As settlements are pretty easy to bork up, because there is a lot of scripting and other background processes that go on with them. Stuff that Bethesda, did well, but not "perfect" with. There's mods that let you expand that cap, or completely bypass it. such as thesehttps://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/828https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/1613However, again.... those are "Use at your own risk" and "Use in moderation" just like the mods that allow you to increase or bypass your settlement build limits. I hope this helps some :)-Storm
StormWolf01
Just remembered something. There is a mod on bethesda.net that you can download through the game mod manager called Unified Settlement Objects (or) Unlocked Settlement Objects (I can just remember the UCO) that has an option for spawnable children, guards, and animals. They dont count against your settlement population limit. I don't remember correctly, they MIGHT count against your Build limit, but I don't remember for sure. But again, moderation. I've screwed up more than a couple of my games by putting in way too many of the guards with that mod. Back in the days when I knew less of what I was doing, than I do now. :D Edited January 6, 2020 by StormWolf01

DevinJam
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/images/167846This is the closest i could get to sharing a image of my issue. WTF who has a forum that dosnt allow you to share images from their own website. As you can see i want to move Christian there. my mod to allow past the population cap is working. but i had moved 5 settlers prior. it will not allow me to move Christian to sanctuary. he is still avalible to move to other settlements.I want to know how to move more the 5 settlers. StormWolf01
Heyas Devin. Yeah, the forums attachment system is a tad bit on the lacking side. You can do it under the advanced posting options, but it really limits the file size, and the amount of storage space that we get is really small. You're better off going with a 3rd party image host. I personally use imgbox and it fits the bill.As far as actually being able to send a particular NPC to a different settlement... If the NPC is unassigned, it would be easy...I THINK. I haven't actually tried this. But, if you open the console command using the tilde key (Far left corner of your keyboard, directly above the TAB key) and click on the settler, you can get their ID number. Write it down. Now go to the settlement you want them at, and tap the tilde key again. Type in placeatme XXXXXX the X's being the ID numbers for that NPC. That will move them to your current location. You might be able to then assign them to a task there at the settlement you're now in.NOT sure if that will work. Like I said, untested. But, it's an idea.I'd try it on a test save, btw ;)
